@endorqqquite the opposite, lvl 2 players will have no clue what to do against good utility, even If you don't frag you're actually gonna carry with nades
Maybe it’s a good idea to add that in SoloQ you have to expect roles to be fluid and change every round. If you’re with a ct teammate on a bombsite and he rotates out early you know you’re gonna have to anchor. If on T-side a teammate calls they are going to pop out quick you could choose to aid him and play support/second entry. In SoloQ you can’t just say what role you play at the start of the round and expect your teammates to play accordingly
Yeah, solo q def makes you play like that. I’m a mostly solo q player and I always play differently or at least what the team leaves open. I typically like playing anything anyway just because I don’t like becoming predictable, but there are definitely moments that you might have to execute and see in a split second cause your teammate just decides to dry push somewhere without saying anything. Most teammates won’t know smokes let alone how to play the map that leads to wins so you really have to do a lot to help your team. At least on T side, most of the time, teammates will end up playing whatever push they like or slowly end up playing one thing later in the round.
@themobslayer1017adjusting playstyle to different games is would i usually do , let me ask something, whats ur rank/ elo as i heard if you stick to one role is better
I think that's a fair point, but I also believe that for some people the feeling of getting hyped is the main driver for plays like that, even if after the big moment they are a little shaky - that's the beauty of adrenaline :)
Calm aim isn't necessarily good. Calm aim is usually more accurate, but also slower. For an entry, I usually would prefer a more flick-heavy, sporadic type of aimer since he won't get straight up duels where accuracy prevails. It does depend totally on the person though. If your aim isn't just flicky but super shaky, you just don't operate well under that type of adrenaline/stress and its taking you out of your zone rather than in it. Others find themselves becoming more accurate the faster and more flicky they are (I am one of them).
I mean look at Donk, he is screaming around like a barker on a sunday market and is still the best Entry in the game (other Entrys are loud too). I think confidence is more important than staying calm, if you are feeling it, your aim will be better.
You should include the caveat that these roles apply to team play CS, but only very loosely apply to pug CS. In pugs at all ranks, the vast majority of the time, everyone agreeing on a site, and then pack rifling with the team is going to work out better than someone trying to rp as IGL and call complex strategies, while another teammate 'lurks' (baits) on the other half of the map.
Nice said. But its dangerous to think 100% in roles. There many mixed Formel out there. There also good entry and lurker at same time out there. They could also IGL and thats why they are able to adapt there role to what is need in a Single round. For example a lurker who also knows good utility he could Support A-execute with smoke on mirage while faking b.
i feel like no one is ever entry fragging in mm or premier, literally im always the one doing it.. and if i decide not to, its 1:30 mins of standing in front of the site
So done with passive unconfident T-side teammates. And when you’re picking up responsivility to be first in your teammates are always seconds behind making the tradefrag harder
I like being lurker and anchor on ct side. I am good at clutches and also many times i can call some rounds on ct side or being like second caller (if only my teammates would understand something more then rush B or hold site). One thing i only struggle with is the timings as lurker. Many times and i can not lie i just go too late since i dont want to make sound and catch enemy by surprise. And its hard for me to be quiet and catch in the same time enemy.
An Important Info missing is, that esp. in SoloQ but also in Teams, u might have to swap ur role dynamicly on ur position and ur options. trying to entry but finding urself in an empty zone might make u become a lurker with fake options. being able to change between the roles gives ur team way more chances to control the pace of the game
@dmitryk2058 yes and no, out of a default, its about situational reding. out of sets, ur right 100%. Perfect teamplay balances set and dynamic to become unreadable. but others regions are having different philosophies on this.
Where do you view those roles on 6:45? This is really helpful because when I try to master a new position, I can check who is playing and where, so I can watch demos
I havent played cs for long and when i played siege in a team i was the support but in cs i feel like running at the enemy without fear is the most fun thing xD And when you talked about the entry fragger i was like wtf this is literally me
Very nice depiction of the main roles. I always notice how personality traits match with certain roles. It's very nice to see how comprehensively CS players can be framed in MBTI terms, for example. Thank you!
I play awp to support my team on defense and offense. Idc that sometimes I don‘t have most kills, important is that I get the kills to make the entry fragger push inside.
FlameZ plays support and entry. Thats why he takes aggression with short income by buying utility + entering with low money (smg). Which allows him to take space if he can get the entry. Basically, alot of these roles are versatile.
Because in CS there is no formal definition of roles, like in Dota. In CS instead of roles we often play positions, like A Connector, or B Short, or A Anchor, etc. on Mirage. And the roles naturally emerge from your position. For example, ropz plays Lobby on Nuke. Because of his position, he often plays separately from the other team. But sometimes there may be some round with ramp pushing (sorry for my English, I ain't native speaker). So, you are still Lobby player, but in this round you are not the lurker. You can even be an entry fragger, peeking up the ramp. I recommend you to google "public tableau positions database". This is a table from NER0, a HLTV analyst. This will show you what positions exist on each map for each side and what positions each player plays. Btw, roles were invented before positions. Role lurker was invented by GeT_RiGhT. Roles like AWPer and entry fragger exist almost from the game release. But strict positional CS was invented by Fnatic in 2015. This is the main reason why Fnatic was so strong in their time. They have changed Counter-Strike meta almost completely.
I feel like I’m support or igl. I’m pretty good with utility but also good at keeping the team strong on not to lose their motivation on not giving up but also feel like a fragger. Def hard to tell
I usually play lurker/anchor or support role. But then my whole team dies because they always just rush and then blame me for not clutching. Makes zero sense lol
If you enjoyed, please Subscribe - I'm trying to hit 20k before the end of 2025 💙💙 THANK YOU
if u unironically censored job u are a soab
Yeah i shift between lurker and anchor…
you basically playing counter idea marketing for valve. amazing. i never realised this growing up.
is there a bottom fragger role for me
LMAOOOOOOOOOOO
Role of utility throwing that doesn't reguire good aim just practice.
@MisheelTubshinbaatar-mr3rj sounds good but i dont think utility matters on level 2
@endorqqjust throwing flash for your entry fragger or smoking sniper locations will make difference.
@endorqqquite the opposite, lvl 2 players will have no clue what to do against good utility, even If you don't frag you're actually gonna carry with nades
We don't need an IGL:
Round 1 : go B lose
Round 2 : go A lose
Round 3+ : team fight, russian swearing, spread out in the map
pretty accurate
its like you can see all my lobbys lol
story of my life bro
Spirit tactical book be like:
lore accurate CS2 game
Im not the entry fragger, Im the entry frag, Skylar
LMAOOOOOO
A guy pushes short a and gets a kill and you think that of me?

@themobslayer1017adjusting playstyle to different games is would i usually do , let me ask something, whats ur rank/ elo as i heard if you stick to one role is better
I always find myself alone at empty bombsites when bomb is elsewhere
im a entery frager but i have heard that if you stay calm after a cluch or win your adrenaline level stays calm and your aim stays calm too
I think that's a fair point, but I also believe that for some people the feeling of getting hyped is the main driver for plays like that, even if after the big moment they are a little shaky - that's the beauty of adrenaline :)

My teammates roles are the baiter
You should include the caveat that these roles apply to team play CS, but only very loosely apply to pug CS.

i like playing in jimpphats posisition, THE GOONER
AYOOOOOOOOOOOOO
"Time for some Twitter porn!"
-aPEX-
I'm Bomb Management. I defuse, I plant.
Can you make a video on each teams player roles, this will cement this video even more. Thanks.
apparently i have 3 roles
Much appreciated for the sensorship at 0:37
Nice said. But its dangerous to think 100% in roles. There many mixed Formel out there.

Dude, thank you. I used to play a lot of CS back in 1.6 recently got into watching CS as a viewer, and this helped me a lot
Hell yeah man! Thank you for taking the time to say that, very glad I could provide a bit of value :)
brain damage *wild Donk appears 🤣
God Biley you feel so good 😫😫
Say it again.
Bro
@SK_6208what I do wrong ??
im literally all of these except lurker
Censored J*b caught me off guard 🤣🤣🤣
Great video, thank you!
i was thinking about a carrier role, a guy with the bomb on tt side ( thats my role always, enter the site last, rotate if need)
faze rain was my fav support back in the csgo days
i feel like no one is ever entry fragging in mm or premier, literally im always the one doing it.. and if i decide not to, its 1:30 mins of standing in front of the site
Same bro
So done with passive unconfident T-side teammates.
And when you’re picking up responsivility to be first in your teammates are always seconds behind making the tradefrag harder
So you are entry fragger then
The universal trait, the ability to step up when needed. Every position seems to need that.
Absolutely! Doesn't matter your role - if you aren't a player made for these big moment, you're missing out
SO helpful. Thanks
holy donk glaze
Dude this is such a well made video 10/10 amazing content u deserve more subs UWU
Yooooooo thank you so much for the kind words, really appreciated :) All the editing glory goes to my friend Nico though :))
Best vid i've watched about this, nice job 👍
HELL YEAH MAN, thank you so much for the feedback!!
The way bro didn't talk about prime s1mple awping:(
Meanwhile me in premier: IGL, AWP, Entry, Lurk, Util. 11:13 GG L 😢😂
I like being lurker and anchor on ct side. I am good at clutches and also many times i can call some rounds on ct side or being like second caller (if only my teammates would understand something more then rush B or hold site). Great video, would be cool if you could do a top 5 pro's for each position.
I know there are awards for it but your explanations seem quite good
An Important Info missing is, that esp. in SoloQ but also in Teams, u might have to swap ur role dynamicly on ur position and ur options. trying to entry but finding urself in an empty zone might make u become a lurker with fake options. being able to change between the roles gives ur team way more chances to control the pace of the game
if that happens too often that means the team is not following set strategies and tactics
@dmitryk2058 yes and no, out of a default, its about situational reding. out of sets, ur right 100%. Perfect teamplay balances set and dynamic to become unreadable. but others regions are having different philosophies on this.
I play on ct site support/anchor and on tt site support i throw so much utility but when the time come i can win a 1v4 clutch
Very interesting Video, thats what i needed to play with my friends
Hell yeah! Glad I could offer a bit of value, have fun!
No way my guy censored the word JOB
Liurker is for meeee
Atp u play everything when u play prem
4:12 "sitting still for 15s waiting for the perfect moment to commit"... i.e. camping
In south east asia everyone is an Entry fragger 😂😂
Taco, the best entry fragger of cs
Where do you view those roles on 6:45? This is really helpful because when I try to master a new position, I can check who is playing and where, so I can watch demos
Im an entry fragger and in my premier games i hit 26 in 10 or 6 im 16 its all about timing and god nades and mollys
My role is support (your support haha)
8:18 Snipin's a good job, mate. It's challenging work, out-of-doors... I guarantee you'll not go hungry
: Sniper
very helpful thank you sm!
All love!
I havent played cs for long and when i played siege in a team i was the support but in cs i feel like running at the enemy without fear is the most fun thing xD
And when you talked about the entry fragger i was like wtf this is literally me
As solo q warrior i am igl entry awper support and thats happens in lvl 10..
I guest Im a support and a little bit of lurker with 40/60 clutch
At 5:18 Jimi and Ropz are just a finn and estonian. As a people, both are known for not really showing off.
Is the sniper also kind of like a lookout?
What if im good player but plays bad when it matters is there a choker role?
Very nice depiction of the main roles. I always notice how personality traits match with certain roles. It's very nice to see how comprehensively CS players can be framed in MBTI terms, for example. Thank you!
Actually a very nice insight, MBTI definitely can help with finding your role :) thank you for the comment!
Support, love getting those perfect lineups for my team 100% soloQ lol
I play awp to support my team on defense and offense. Idc that sometimes I don‘t have most kills, important is that I get the kills to make the entry fragger push inside.
always been Lurk/Anchor
II have a auestion. what res woould you recommend if im playing on a wide monitor for cs2
and my dumbass thinking the title meant rules in the cs2 tournaments
I clutch a lot. Is there a role called Clutcher?
Can you explain what coach does during matches? I see them giving papers to the players. What's on the papers?
Nice vid! Enjoyed it
Ty for watching, means a lot!
6:43 where do you check it??
you look like kyril from stop xam

Thank you for not forgetting the support role it's the least talked about role and least credited in gun fight wins😊
Agreed for suuuure 🙏🙏
Is rifler not a role anymore? Or is it just entry fragger now?
i do all of these for some reason
Entry fragger for the first round because i love pistol round so much atp
All roles bsides Entry fragger

Me AWP window or troll
*works if you're zywoo
fire video
videolength / substance is incredible
🙏🙏🙏 thank you so much for your feedback!
My role is dying each round, because for some reason every enemy always has perfect aim and Flash like reaction time. 😂😂😂
Best advice I ever got is that if you consider yourself "support" you're likely the reason your team is losing. Everyone should support as needed.
Support underrated
Man I unknownly myself is an anchors. As usually, staying at site with LMG. Anybody threw smokes, say hello to 100 rounds of M249
wut is the website 6:46
grinding all
hi can you activate the translator for french language pls?
with the extended knowledge now im gonna go craft a team of idiots
I usually play lurker/anchor or support role. But then my whole team dies because they always just rush and then blame me for not clutching. Makes zero sense lol

Appreciate the support man!
Nice video Man greetings from the south cone!

Remember, when all else fails and everyone fails,
ALWAYS RUSH B
😂
I just play casual, so I do a bit of everything. : )
I thought about this yesterday I'm gonna look up roles in a team, now this vid pops up first in my fyp, game is watching me
I'm watching you bro 😈
i wear earphone, and talk a lot about predicting enemy, which 80% always right, and 100% accurate if i heard enemy gun reload, scope, util, or step
can u show us your viewmodel? 😁
im the awper because i cant hit no damn bullet with the ak47
In matchmaking you can also add one more role, the guy who runs first and dies every round
Refrag him :D
I feel like the lowest the elo, the more people want to play with awp, i hate this gun because no one knows how to play this
Lurker since i can think, im a rat without aim..
