Hard to imagine that he was used primarily as a spot up 3 point shooter during his rookie year in OKC. He shot 159 3s during that year and the 3 seasons since hasn't even combined to shoot that many. I like when teams are well coached and when players are actually utilized towards their strengths. Sabonis reminds me so much of Pau Gasol with his ability to score or pass from the post, score or pass off the screen roll catch, attacking off the dribble, he's just got it all. Just needs to improve his jumper a little bit and improve a little bit defensively and we've got quite a career to look forward to.
OMG! The way he switched pivots at 1:13 was absolutely masterful. Most will never understand how great that was, mostly because he is in triple threat afterwards!!!! Looking to pass but has opportunity to score and does. Absolutely masterful
Take this for what it’s worth but his father was even better. He suffered in Achilles injury when he was very young and was never the same but came into the league pretty late but still put up good numbers
His dad is one of the best players ever, well deserved Hall of Famer. Dom still has a lot of career ahead of him he’ll have a great legacy of his own if things get back to normal.
If he improves his Defense and 3 point shooting he will be a force. But anyways he has become more than a role player since start of this season. Arvydas Sabonis legendary legacy continues 🔥
@@jeffmcgee6108 The league has seen a maximization on 3-point shooting a lot since the past 10 years. So it is safe to say that 3 point shooting is an essential skill in the current league. Even 7 foot guys can and are good 3P shooters like porzingis, antetokounmpo, AD etc. All these guys i mentioned are great defensive players as well. Domantas sabonis being the big man for pacers need to play good defense and shoot long range shots maybe then he can have more success as a player more all star selections and maybe contender for MVP. I just want him to be very good just so that Arvydas would be proud.
Sabonis would be perfect to play alongside Gobert and Bojan Bogdanović at Utah. HIs arsenal is dribble-drive, spin-moves, play around the basket, solid defense and his rebounding. His screen-assists fit the profiles of Utah the best among all 30 teams in the league. Quin is the guy who values it as much as any metrics traditionally on the box score. Plus, he's predominantly left-handed but can also finish with his right hand, if needed.
1:20 absolutely bodied Deandre Jordan lmaoo
Made my boy look small
His strength is underrated. He can bump with guys that have weight advantage on him.
Indiana pacers might make good use of Sabonis like REALLY good use
Seeing him play, I have become a fan of him. Has a very good skill set, court vision, footwork, quickness, passing and semi-hook shot.
Footwork like his is a lost art
He's got a good teacher in his father. Dude was a beast back in the days.
I saw his dad play when I was a kid and his footwork was amazing
Best post game in NBA rn
His breakout was last year but I guess he stamped his legacy this year. He’s gonna be a star
Gutierrez 31 already is a star. This all star year is just a beginning though
Learned so much from dad. Amazing footwork and great passing for a big man.

The future of this franchise 🔥✊🏽
Hell nah
@@elijahlavette1075 you forgot he is an all star?
7:55 OUTRAN THE WHOLE NUGGETS SQUAD!!! That was my favorite game of the year from him
Wrong game tho I was thinking about the one in Denver
Look at Sabonis so inspirational
:DDDD
He is
Not like curry
6:45 Myles smiling after the block by Domas. :)
He's nice with it

Underrated
Most improved player of 2020 season
Al Francis Gayamo bam adebayo still exists
@@lilflexseal8088 yeah so does ingram and devonte graham
Jeff Mcgee jaylen brown better than all 4
Nah jaylen brown he almost doubled his scoring to 20ppg and does it on 50 percent and elite defense. Better than jimmy butler already
Joey mp4 not better than jimmy or bam relax buddy
7:58 this guy is fast. He’s not just some unathletic stiff.
If he improves his Defense and 3 point shooting he will be a force. But anyways he has become more than a role player since start of this season. Arvydas Sabonis legendary legacy continues 🔥
3 point shooting is overrated

His percentage isn’t great but I feel like teams have to respect him out there. He will knock em down if u aren’t contesting.
His bread n butter is the paint tho of course
Seeing his build the paint seems best. Mid range seems more essential for him than 3pt. But time will tell what type of player he is
Ah man, Lithuanians worldwide are so proud!
He is 5 inches shorter than his dad but still looks pretty tall. Imagine how giant his dad was.
Just look up Sabonis vs Shaq
Arvydas Sabonis was Kristaps Porzingis with passing ability
Promising front court for the Pacers. Domas is balling well. Saboner style.
SABONIS TEAM STAND UP
1:20 is certainly a weight room move
2:00 the basket shook literally
gotta feeling he’s gonna have a great playoff showing in the bubble
Popped up on noti as I commented about him on HTB stream
Best post game in the east

Thanks so much for this video
2:17 that screen though, #42 looked like he bumped into a wall.
He plays like a traditional center which makes me cant brain why OKC put him as a stretch 4.. haha
6:26 the way he said is the dunk if the decaaade sounded weird af.
Like a remote control robbot...
pick and roll magic comin back
Um he’s still having a breakout Season.... cause the season isn’t over
i wish he comes to the heat
never
His god of a dad created a demigod
Very skilled and deceptively athletic
Just imagine KD won’t have left okc there lineup would’ve been Westbrook, oladipo, KD, domantas, and Adams
5dastral nah oh came years later plus couldn’t pay all of them
More athletic version of his father
No
Sabonis sr. was very athletic, but he was broken man when he came to NBA
It’s funny Sacramento kings fans don’t think he can play the 4 lol
Daymontice saybonis
Way better then Lebron
lel
Arvydas son
Good player 👍.I don't know about a whole highlight reel?
