Skz actually just got done with their DOME concert in Japan. It held 55k people and they sold it out for two days. 250k people tuned into the live viewing for a grand total of 380,000 ppl viewing skz concert, (not including all the !llegal str3ams lol) They are definitely big and they'll only grow more and more as more ppl discover them.

There was a mistake in this in the part about Lee Know. He had auditioned for JYP, but was not called back. So he continued to be a back-up dancer for BTS till early 2017. He got a call back, went to the second audition, and was a trainee for a MONTH before Bang Chan selected him to be part of Stray Kids. When eliminated, he continued to train, but was brought back at the end of the show to see if they should debut as a 9 member team, or a 7 member team. The 9 won. So in reality, Lee Know was a trainee for less than a year.
Before the survival show, Felix had only been in Korea for about 4 or 5 months. So his Korean was still VERY underdeveloped. And his parents had initially been against him becoming an Idol.

It's true that BTS and Stray kids shouldn't be compared, but sadly they are. There are fan wars EVERYWHERE on who's better, their accomplishments, awards, etc. And even them saying that they're a wannabe BTS. They're SO different, and I stan both so I'm not saying this from a biased point of view. They both are amazing artists, talented, and intelligent, and their vibe is different, too. Just because they're a rising artist, doesn't make them a wannabe of the artist currently at the top. SKZ and BTS are friends, so the fact that fan wars occur is just nonsense and pointless since both are such good musicians and people. But, you of course can't explain that to toxic fans, because they don't understand that.

They are totally different, in fact when i was just an army i didnt liked stray kids music, it was not my taste and they were so different from bts but now im multistan and stray kids its one of my ults.

@@yeonjunstea9618 Exactly. This comment says so much about how music can change your mind, and not only that but the people as well. Most new or toxic armys only don't like stray kids because they're growing to be as famous as BTS, or because they don't know much about stray kids so just wanna judge a book by its cover. That's where the problem starts. When an artist is different, that can even be a good thing because it can get you into different types of things, and so many more positive things. Not liking their music and thinking it's just "noise" is one thing.. But SLANDERING the band all over social media and to your friends is another. Especially when you find rumors or make up things about their past and use them against them. They were young. We've all made mistakes that were.. terrible. Instead of holding it against someone, you should watch their growth since then. You can have an opinion without making it toxic and disgusting. And like Chan said; Standing up for them and protecting them is one thing, but talking bad about the other band is another because, at the end of the day, it only ruins THEIR image and the fanbase's image.
(SORRY FOR THE LONG COMMENT IM JUST SO PASSIONATE ABOUT MY OPINION ON THIS.)

not only fans compare the two groups, but also some media, especially the western ones, provoking the fan wars.

I’ve been a stay for over 4 years now and I don’t think I ever could have imagined where they are now. They have truely outdone themselves and it makes me so proud. I also think about how out of all the groups I could have chose to be my favourite what was the chance they would end up being so successful.
With all of the positive stuff does come it’s downsides. Because of skz success they have become prone to hate for absolutely no reason. The amount of hate accounts that I’ve seen bashing skz or I should say trying every single possible way to try and prove they aren’t good is kinda sad. And I don’t understand why people can’t just stick to supporting the groups they like. Cause a group or artist may not be anything special to you, but to another person they could mean everything. And the same way you feel about a artist is they way they feel about skz.
I recently was extremely bless to be able to see Stray Kids on their tour. I got to stand there for over three hours and the men that saved me and made me happy where real and in front of me. They were no longer pixels. It was the most amazing thing i ever saw. But while I stood their dancing and having fun, looking around at everyone else having fun, I could see how much skz had grown and how many other people knew how I felt and also admired them for their talent. They were spectacular. It also made me think “how could anybody think they are bad people”. They stood up on that stage, danced, sang, rapped, laughed, joked and more. They barely took a break, 2 mins to go change outfits and they were back on the stage. They work their butts off and put in 110% EVERY time they perform. Now people don’t have to like the music, but music that isn’t you’re taste does not mean they are bad people. My sister in my opinion has shit music but I don’t think she’s a bad person. So it really makes me wonder how people can be so horrible to these idols they don’t even know. They base everything on their music and not on them. They jump to conclusions before they even look and see how hard they work.
And u wanna know what really amazed me. I go to the concert, it’s starts bang on 7:30 and doesn’t end till after 10:30. I would be buggered. Yet an hour or so after, mr bang Chan goes live for an hour. He still makes time to come online and talk to the fans even tho all he wants is to relax after an exhausting show. The man trained for 7 years, up all hours of the night writing and producing, loses friends, protects his member. Yet he’s still not doing enough for antis. Man it makes me mad. Also I’m sorry for rambling. Idk even know if any of this makes sense.
Those 8 Men mean EVERYTHING to me. Back in 2018/2019 I was in a terrible place and their music gave me something to look forward to. Their shows and videos made me laugh thx I didn’t laugh much back then.

I saw this video recently and it made me nostalgic...I apologize in advance for my English XD
I discovered kpop in 2010 by chance on RUclips, with 'Shinee'. Things were not like today, it was very difficult to find translated shows and other things. My first show was 'Hello Baby' with Shinee, in which they had to take care of a toddle (I felt very old when I saw a video recently where one of the members made a videocall with him, already a teenager).
Later, when I discovered more groups, I found out through a social network in my country that some of my friends knew about kpop and some were even in groups that danced to kpop songs (something I didn't know existed)
There was a lot of demand for 2g groups in many countries outside of Asia (some of them received international awards too), but for the most part they were not given many opportunities, and also as it is said in the video there were many misconceptions about k-pop.
Although I liked many groups, I only considered myself a fan of 'Big Bang'. It was in the middle of 3g that I lost interest, until I discovered Stray Kids and became 'Stay'... I never imagined that I would like a group as much as I liked BB, both self-produced with they own 'essence'. And I am very happy with everything they have achieved so far. I hope they become a group that will be remembered with a lot of admiration and respect.

He forgot to add that twice save jyp company. Twice success debut put back jyp entertainment in big 3 and got a bigger building. Twice also is the stepping stone of jyp group in the u.s. jyp put twice first in the u.s market after successfully entering they put straykids. It's so funny how jyp entertainment holding back in twice album. even now in sk straykids not that much popular..straykids are more popular in other countries..
