    Common misinformation, you can use the Pro graphics on print on demand just like the Free. You cannot use patterns that are not altered. You can literally email Canva and ask them like I did and people in other videos I've seen did. If you take this pattern and use it with no alteration that's against Canva's rules, but if you make the pattern and add stuff to it yourself it's fine. Changing the color does not count as adding to it. So if you took this pattern and stuck this pattern inside the Word California for example that would count as adding to it because it did not exist in this manner before.
    Idk where people got the idea that you cannot use Pro graphics the same as Free but I was new to Canva and kept hearing people say this so I looked at multiple vids and simply asked canva themselves and they respond within 24 hrs. Don't use the graphics AS IS without editing because anyone can do that and if you have the same flower graphic as someone else, if they uploaded first, they can Copyright claim you and it's against Canva's rules to use things as is. Just because you already do it and have not been flagged doesn't mean it's not true.
    Something kinda common sense, why would anybody pay for their Pro accounts if they could not use the pro graphics like the free? Think about it. Defeats the purpose. Pro Graphics are just hidden behind a paywall, that's all. Don't let Canva's licensing section confuse you, just ask them. Also, if you create your own seamless pattern using their Elements THAT counts as "adding to the design" because the single elements did not exist as a pattern already. So if you take their circle, triangle, square and make a pattern, you're good, that's a new thing. but if a pattern exist already as a Circle Triangle, Square, you can't just use it as it as their contributor (the artist who made it for Canva) owns that pattern so you must add to it to make it different.

      Yeah totally. Until they recently updated their licence agreement I was pretty confused. As a Pro you can use either Free or Pro for POD which I have done for many years now...Appreciate you elaborating. Probably worth doing a new video making that more clear. Cheers.

      So Canva recently changed their policies and are allowing us to use their patterns, as is, for POD? I am a praying customer for Canva and this would be a huge game changer for me.

      @@GrowingWithShortStuf doesn’t seem like it. You will need to add some elements to it to make it unique.

    Wow! Yours is the easiest one I've seen. Would like to easily make up some up by adding another graphic. Will see how that works!

    Great video... So once you create the entire backround can you then sell the actual paper? I see people selling digital craft paper so wondering now with the new licensing guidelines with canva if you can create all these and bundle them into a pack of digital papers?

    When I do this, I get white lines between each square like the design in not matching up exactly. How can I fix this?

      Hmmm, that's hard to answer if I can't see what you're doing with it. If you want to share a copy of what you're having trouble with, and message me privately, I can take a look....If you give me an email or link in the comments I won't approve it....and I can take a look.

      I would check with their website to see their commercial license. I'd not use the patterns as is personally to sell as a product, but I use the patterns for book covers etc...

    canva png is not high resolution. save it in pdf and convert using some other program to png.

    • @TheaNewcomb
      @TheaNewcomb  3 года назад +2

      Actually that's not sure that's entirely true. Depends on the size you created for high res. If I start with a canvas that is 5000x5000 it's certainly high res enough.... I never download as PDF and convert for my POD stuff. But to each their own for sure!
