🙎 No Advance wars *since 2009* , but they had time and money to make *6 Fire Emblem titles* !

@@Redline1998766 No, Advanced Wars had been having problems due to the fact that every title in the franchise did something different from the previous and right now they don't know what to do with it. Advanced Wars 1, 2, and DS had balancing problems (particularly DS) while Days of Ruin got practically rejected by much of the fanbase despite the fact that it was effectively the Battlefield 2142 of the franchise (i.e. so well balanced that it became the franchise's BASELINE for balance). With the Switch becoming the only thing that Nintendo is focusing development on right now, they're probably trying to figure out how the motherloving fuck they're going to get the series to work on the Switch. Remember, Nintendo's general rule of thumb is gameplay FIRST, aesthetics SECOND.
Also, Fire Emblem is extremely hot in Japan and Advanced Wars only sold well in the West.
Then again, Wargrove is probably Nintendo's litmus test for another Advanced/Battalion Wars title.

@@TheTrueAdept I think the issue with DoR/DC is the grittier-than-Grit reboot they did. I personally quite liked the look and balance of it but it lacked animation and unit design variety where it only had the American and Russian aesthetic versus the previous games with American, Russian, Japanese, European and Robotic/Alien variety of units.
I will agree that DoR/DC had much better CO and unit balance (except for Tabitha and Caulder/Stolos but they were meant to be the uber-tier bad guy COs) and added an incentive to keep units alive and combine them with things like promotions and CO boarding.
I know it’s fan made, but if they were to release a remake of the first game on switch that would be dope. Also, they could see how good it does in sales, and if it does good they could make a whole new game on switch. It makes sense since the switch is basically a home based console and a mobile console in 1.

Here's the thing, he's *Max*. If they buffed Rockets to one-shot a Medium Tank when used by Max then I dread to think of the damage figures if they were used by Grit.
@@racer927 Maybe Max doesn't have a debuff in indirect unit damage? Perhaps just a range debuff but not a debuff in indirect unit damage? But yes, I get your point. However, Rockets were expensive and somewhat unwieldy to use, especially considering its somewhat lower movement range and the fact that it cannot move to attack.

Little sad that I'm only now finding this, but uh... Dude, Nintendo shoulda scouted you for stuff like this, ReBoot Camp woulda looked WAAAAY better than it does if they had you on board for it. Granted, how the game looks now is setting the bar a little low, but like... Come on, dude, tell me this stuff doesn't look five times better than what Nintendo did.

I hope when they earned enough cash for Fire Emblem they try Advance Wars Series again. Fire Emblem also was in danger. If Awakening didnt sell so good the FE Series would be dead. Another Proof is Wargroove. If Wargroove then they will be advance wars in the futre.

I'll use Lash or Colin. Those two are just awesome. Colin's fodder and Power of Money is OP as heck, and Lash's terrain boosts are awesome.
