Despite the many probable gaffes and unrealistic things in this movie, I actually think it's fun if you take it for what it is - a shoot 'em up action flick.

What was the plan after the takeoff? Coz i've heard they've got plenty of fighter jets in the US and i assume some of them are in the interceptor role.
@@revanruler6404 That's not how that works. No one working for law enforcement would decide an innocent person's life is worth taking just to kill the crime boss. That's not a calculation they make.
@@revanruler6404 Assuming the State Governor agreed, the Regular Military (except the coast guard and national guard) can't be used in a law enforcement role, so the State Governor would have to authorize the National Guard to shoot it down.

The plane didn’t crash hard, so it’s hard to see how the pilots get killed… but They’re kind of not essential to the plot, and it would take too much screen time showing them getting away, or doing anything interesting. This way we just got to see the photo genic swat team members

Jeremy Higdon there is a second swat film however in my opinion it’s not as good as the first and it doesn’t have any of the original cast in but if you want to check it out it’s called s.w.a.t firefight
Was anyone here actually rooting for the cops to stop them? I know they're criminals, but how could you not root for them to pull off such an epic escape
there are far better escapes out there. besides, with that man being a high value target and one of the worlds most wanted men who was officially a prisoner of the Federal Government, I wouldnt be surprised if they sent interceptors jets

Let get this straight, there are hostages on the plane so their solution to the problem is to shoot indiscriminately at the plane with no clue where their rounds may be penetrating into?

Pilots must be high or something. It took them more than a minute to actually push the throttle forward to full.
Whose side were they on? If they weren't in on it, then maybe they were stalling, hoping the plane would be disabled.
