That was a pretty good coverage on extenuating circomstances. I just turned 62 last December. So I could just start collecting SSI & sit back & watch the sun rise & set every day. But I'd be living at a poverty level, & this fully paid for dump (built in 1950) that I live in has a slew of issues ... that would be a waist of money to get fixed & improved. So I'd encure too much incidenttal expenses to take the lazy route by retiring now ! The octain I'm looking to add to my retirement under Trump is a crypto wallet & crypto IRA. As for both my current traditional & Roth IRA's, I have an AI position in APLD @ $8/share If things go right, I'll find a low cost country with good healthcare to retire in ! 😉👍
And if you are forced to retire early for health issues, odds are you'll actually need more money than if you were healthy. For example, we're looking to having to add an elevator to keep access to our upstairs floor and to get into the house from the garage.
@davidteitelman3890 while that is an option, you pay so much in realtor fees, closing costs, moving costs, higher interest rates, etc, not to mention that they don't build many one story homes any more, it isn't that much more to do the elevator.

How about I just want to do something else?
