I just got the Beehive Basket bag from Loewe in black and I absolutely love it. It can be worn cross body and it has a pouch insert. it also fits a lot for its size.

Not easy to answer. One year ago I would have gone with the exact same bag but now I think I'd go with the one with black.

I love the anagram tote! I have it in the brown version :) I do really love that the other one has thicker straps

@@ThanksToFashion Yes! I was hesitating getting it too for a while. Many a times I was literally this close to getting it but didn’t cos I saw that happening on the display piece. Mine’s also pretty new so hasn’t shown wear yet though I think it will def be inevitable. I touched on it in my latest video on holiday beach bags :)

The flexibility of the black option is really a win for me because the traditional tan one I can easily recreate ( even the shape of the basket is used and of course sourced to many cheaper alternatives)

That one is made out of elephant grass and as far as I know this looks more yellow just because of its nature.
I love that bag so and would love to see it in person before I take the plunge and settle for one.

I love the Loewe classic “straw” and tan leather, but the new black-trimmed one is a nice version, too. I love the anagram design and the varied weaves of the body of the bag. I think it would look better if they used black to sew on the anagram, rather than the light thread/material, which breaks up the design.
Yes I love that one but cannot justify having two similar such expensive basket bags, yet! 🙈.

I use a “Bag in a Bag” inserts for all my totes. They’re lightweight, wipeable nylon and have compartments. So I can find my lipstick or keys immediately, they don’t just fall to the bottom under everything else, and keep my water bottle upright. I just have one beige one that works for all my totes, but they have different sizes and colors. (No affiliation, just like this bag insert, they other ones I found are dirt-attracting poly felt or too heavy).

Now that you’ve had a little bit of time to use both bags, which one do you think is more durable?
I end up sending the one with black trimming back but I wouldn't say these bags are very durable. I look after my basket bag and would not take it for example on a plain. They are raffia bags after all. Thank you so much for watching.🙏🏼💕

Not an easy pick, they are both very light weight. I have recently received a message from a follower saying the monogram one has an issue with straps pealing because they rub against each other. Just to let you know.

What are your thoughts about traveling with basket bags? Can u pack them in a suit case? Or fit under an airplane seat?
I wouldn't, since they can break easily unless you travel by care and have enough room for it. I would definitely not place them under an airplane seat.
@@ThanksToFashion Darn...I just bought the large Anagram straw bag so I can take it on beach vacations. I researched and decided I can take it through security screening by placing it inside the dust bag to protect it, but totally forgot I had to stow it under a seat on the airplane. It probably won't even fit and I will have to find space for it up above. 😫
I'm torn between both bags and can only choose one. Did you keep the anagram bag?
I sent that one back. In the mean time I have also sold the classic one too.
Anyway, at this point I am not sure if I should have any expensive basket bag at all, since I don't feel comfortable wearing them with delicate clothing and also don't feel great carrying them in the city.

I find two sets of straps on a bag very annoying, especially when they’re fairly close in size, like this one.
When you use the shoulder straps on the new bag, the hand strap sticks out in a way that makes it really easy for thieves to tear the bag away from you. It needs a bit of design tweaking, now that I look at it in more detail.

Speaking of Loewe, I really, really want their filigree-buckle belt. But ouch, the price! I have a smaller wardrobe budget than you, but try to find the best-quality natural fiber and leather items that aren’t designer-price point. I would love it if you could offer high-quality alternatives. Most YTers only offer really low-quality alternatives, like plastic handbags, footwear and belts, but I prefer the real thing at the “Premium High Street” (the best descriptor I could think of) price level. So, Lily Silk silk trousers, not Loewe ones. I would persist in getting the Toteme black printed silk trousers if I had your budget, they are fantastic. Get the larger size you tried, then have them altered if necessary. Such a timeless, but special, item. I always enjoy your videos, but try not to covet!
I think the “filigree” style might be what’s called the Anagram, I didn’t notice it was anagram.
