No Way Taiwan Will Accept Reunification with China: Gen. Naravane

- NEW DELHI: Last month, former Army Chief Gen. MM Naravane (Retd) was among three retired Indian service chiefs who visited Taiwan to attend a security dialogue, a visit that made headlines here. Playing down the hype over the trip, Gen. Naravane says it was not the first time a retired service chief visited Taiwan. Speaking to StratNews Global Editor-in-Chief Nitin A. Gokhale, he also gave a sense of the general mood in Taiwan, saying, after the Hong Kong experience, the Taiwanese feel that ‘one country two systems’ isn’t workable and that the country will in no way accept reunification with China.

I had an opportunity to interact with Gen. Naravane once back in April this year.. Basically I was in the middle of my dissertation on the Rashtriya Rifles. Therefore I sent General naravne a message if he could talk to me on the subject matter with a very little hope of receiving a reply from the other end. But to my utter astonishment not only did he reply within few minutes but also agreed to speak with me. Within a week he himself called me and discussed on the topic.. Me other hand got completely flabbergasted that an ex army chief called me..

Remember He served as a army officer his profession job can be done by very few people..where as your diplomatic english journalism job can be done by every one you are a journalist only. Both profession has a lots of difference. Discipline respect are most required in army than journalism.. Don't behave like he is your friend.

India should stop pretending to be the victim. It was India that started the war with China, which even Indian insiders have admitted. And India should be grateful that after winning, the Chinese without any need withdrew and gave back most territory, which they might as well have kept.
Modi should not repeat Nehru's mistakes. The Chinese are very well informed, they know their history, the details. They don't make claims just like that. When the West including India accuse China of something, usually it turns out China was correct after all.
And regarding Taiwan, frankly, it does not matter what a certain percentage of the Taiwanese want. Taiwan is a province of the PRC, according to the UN. Hence Beijing is entitled to go to the island and remove the illegitimate regime from power any time Beijing sees fit. It is a purely internal affair of the PRC and the Taiwanese should be grateful for the incredible patience and generosity of the PRC. What the PRC offers Taiwan, the 1 country, 2 systems concept, is utterly generous, and they should embrace it while they still can. I am sure when the Americans start a war over Taiwan, which of course China will win, China will no longer grant Taiwan any of those privileges that come with the 1 country, 2 systems concept, namely controlled borders with the mainland, a separate currency, the western election scam, etc. Taiwan should take a half-full glass instead of a broken glass. HK has come around now, it is booming again. People have realized that their fears - based on the manipulation by western fake NGO's like the NED and such terrorists - were unfounded.
Think about similar cases: Just a few years ago the Spanish province of Catalonia tried to split from Spain. What did Madrid do? They crushed the separatists, threw the leaders in jail for many years, some fled to other countries. And nobody in the EU complained about it because it is only natural that no country wants regions to split off.
Or look at Ukraine. People in the Donbass, Crimea etc. hated to be part of Ukraine, they do not want to be part of Ukraine under any circumstances anymore in view of this attempted genocide. Yet, the West does not care about their opinion, and instead supports a genocidal nazi regime that tries to kill those people just in order to keep those provinces.
