I mean, if it hits earth it still makies a localized disaster. Considering the size, they should use it as practice to learn how change a trajectory of an asteroid just enough to get it to miss earth.

Nah..Chelyabinsk is estimated at 400-500 kilotons..0.5 megatons. 2024 YR4 is estimated at 7.7 megatons..15x. There's a published ground impact track that passes through northern South America, equitorial Atlantic, sub-Saharan Africa, Saudi Arabia, and Southern India.

Up to you if you would loose any sleep over 1 in 63 chance, but i would check from time to time for more accurate observation and changes in the probability, might not affect everyone globally but the cities within possible impact trajectory are very much at risk

I feel this may be a good opportunity to make some deflection plans, this meteor can do damage being a city-killer, but we cab use it to test how well we defend the plant from a Planet-Killer, if it hits it would do about half the Damage of Tsar Bomba, so if we try and blow it up with our own nukes and see a meteor shower for a bit, hope we take the right action
