  • #EUPLOIDY.
The term euploidy designates genomes containing chromosomes that are multiples of some basic number (x). The euploids are those organisms which contain balanced set or sets of chromosomes in any number.
    #Monoploidy
Monoploids have a single basic set of chromosomes. Monoploids may originate from egg cell without fertilization. Monoploids may also develop from pollen tube, synergids and antipodal cell are called androgenic monoploids.
    #Polyploids
The Euploidy in which more than two haploid sets of chromosomes are present. It is more common in plants
    #Triploid = 3x
    #Tetraploid = 4x
    #Pentaploid = 5x
    #Hexaploid = 6x
    #Octaploid = 8x
    #Autopolyploidy
Addition of one or more chromosomal set, identical to the normal haploid of same plant species in same plant cell.
    #Autopolyploidy
The combination of two or more chromosomal sets from two different species may occur as consequence of hybridization.
