Gotta turn in but looking forward to finishing this up later this week. Your guest has a very interesting story and is a wonderful story-teller. The fact that American Catholics catechized in the 70s/80s didn't all leave the Church en masse may in all seriousness be a miracle.
As I recall, there was a lot of media that was anti-Catholic and happy to misrepresent Vatican II. But there were faithful Catholics who DID understand the expansion of the call to Sanctity that was the pastoral purpose of the Council, and held close to our Crucified Savior. That said, I think the Catholic Church is an on-going miracle of the Presence of Jesus.
Wow, i loved the insight about the sacramental worldview in L. M. Montgomery's books! I've loved them since childhood and they've stayed with me thought the years (actually I just read "the blue castle" again a couple of days ago☺️) Greetings from Poland!
For me, the first MASS that I attended after not going to MASS for 3 years, I realized that the MASS was truly sacred. I cried all the time as I participated then. I still did not understand the callisthenic of the MASS though I was born Catholic. It took years for me to realize that we STAND when the GOSPEL is read because it is JESUS HIMSELF who is talking compared to the First reading(OT) and Second reading(from St Paul).
Another fantastic conversion / reversion. I love hearing how and why people came to the one true and apostolic church . I also love how relaxed your format is. I feel like we are sitting in a living room chatting after a big dinner . Keep it up 🙏
6:22 Hmm 🤔 If she got to know C. S. Lewis, then she should've known how Catholic he was in his theology. He may as well have been Catholic. To this day, I will never know why he never converted. Pride could be one of the reasons. Who knows. 🤷🏻♀️
I made the mistake of watching the new years countdown. They just said happy new years 5 min ago. Sure enough, ABC had to purposely plant 2 men there. I'm so glad my kids were watching another channel in the other room. The chat was filled with 'ewww' 'gross' 'disgusting' etc. But what do we expect from a holiday that is really celebrating the first attack on.. nevermind I wont get into that. Those who know they know.

Amazing testimony. Many thanks. Also really highlights the differences in thought between Catholics and Protestants about the physical world.

Does anyone know if today, Jan 1 was a Holy Day of Obligation I'm getting conflicting results on the web. Thanks in advance.
Yes, it is a holy day of obligation. Is the solemnity of Mary.🙏🏻❤️ get to a 7 o’clock mass if possible!!😂 that’s of course if you’re Catholic!

@@rhwinner it is, at least according to my TLM parish bulletin
It is. I hope you went to mass.
It is not technically, alas. But it is solemn.

Because Lewis came from a long line of diehard Ulster Orangemen!
