When the cycle of abuse is being perpetuated!!! Or something

Oh ABSOLUTELY it is being perpetuated. If Reiko taught Aoi anything, it's "if you're wronged, lash out against anyone and everyone else so you don't have to sit alone with the mortifying shame."

me when i go to the 'continues the cycle of suffering unapologetically' competition and i see aoi sasaki walk in (i love how she is basically suffering incarnate because its so tragic but also what she does to others as a result is unforgivable)

i know she's the villain of the story and obviously her actions are completely unforgivable but i cant help but pity aoi deeply. she just wanted love, and it feels like she was taught that the only way to get it was to put her life in a man's hands and boy did that Not Work Out for her. idk. women are doomed to be victims and also victimizers unless they are given the tools to escape and also take the initiative to use them, and all that (the irrational part of me keeps saying "i could fix her" but i know that is Clearly not true)

EXACTLY EXACTLY EXACTLY! Even if she's a villain there is a REASON she fell so far. She had the rug pulled out from under her at every turn, was stomped on by her own MOTHER, and had to fight to survive on her own until Hitoshi came back into her life.
I think there's a POINT where you could fix her. But once she crosses that point, she's actively digging her own grave and refuses to consider anything but hatred and vengeance.
