My take on what happened in Tekken 2. Same tournament setup as 1 and 4. You get a set of matches, some endings, and then the next set of matches. There are more characters, and more fights. The first set of matches starts with 8, meanings there are 16 tournaments participants! Extra characters were used for other purposes explained in their descriptions, which are based by my own knowledge of Tekken based on the games, some official Tekken sites and forums, and this time around, even from the Original Tekken the motion picture movie, which is cool if you haven't seen it. The cartoon one that is :) All characters except for Alex and Angel were used. Story of Tekken 2 - Directly from the game's manual Two years have passed since Kazuya Mishima won the first "King of Iron Fist" tournament. With the mysterious disappearance of Heihachi Mishima, Kazuya Mishima, the new head of the Mishima Ziabatsu organization - is holding the tournament a second time. Once again, the best fighters from around the world have gathered to compete for the coveted title "The King of Iron Fist." There is a rumor that Kazuya has made a deal with the devil, so enter the tournament at your own risk! Character Descriptions (Directly from the game's manual) Heihachi Mishima - Beaten by Kazuya in the previous tournament, in an instant, he lost both his fame and family. Having spent his previous time indulging in deviant acts instead of training, he vows to regain all he has lost. Paul Phoenix - Fascinated as a child by "Bear Killer Willy WIlliams," Paul grew up to be one of the world's renowned fighters. He lost the final round of the last tournament and enters once again with an extreme desire to be the champion. Nina Williams - A master of Aikido and Koppo techniques, she is an assassin for the people of Ireland. Although Nina's mission is to assassinate Kazuya, her personal agenda is to finally settle the long battle with her sister, Anna. Marshall Law - Law runs his own martial arts dojo. Unfortunately, his students were attacked and severly injured by a villain who is participating in the next tournament. Law decides to enter the tournament to avenge his students and to restore the reputation of his gym. King - King helps orphans by managing an orphanage with money he earns from Pro Wrestling. Unfortunately, the orphanage is running out of money, and King has turned to heavy drinking. He decides to participate in the tournament to regain the children's hearts and to pull his life together. Jack-2 - An android working for the military, Jack-2 is an improvement over the old Jack from the previous tournament. With a new computer chip, he has the ability to learn from his mistakes. Jack wants to save his creator from Kazuya so that he can become more human. Michelle Chan - Kazuya wants the pendant that Michelle wears around her neck since it carries the secret to a great treasure. Michelle's mother has now been kidnapped by Kazuya's men to ensure Michelle's participation in the tournament. Michelle vows to rescue her mother at all costs. Yoshimitsu - The leader of the "Manji Group" a group of notorious theives. The scientist named Boskonovich, who once saved his life, has been abducted by Kazuya. Yoshimitsu will stop at nothing to rescue Boskonovitch. To do so, he has entered the tournament. Lei Wu-long - He is the No.1 detective of Hong Kong International Police Force. Lei's partner was killed by the International Mafia. He finds information linking Kazuya to this Mafia and enters the tournament to try to bust Kazuya and crush his organization. Jun Kazama - Jun is an officer of the WWWC, a wildlife protection organization. She is highly psychic and can sense a mysterious power surrounding Kazuya. Besides her duty to arrest Kazuya, who smuggles protected animals, she wants to free Kazuya of his evil power during the tournament.
Other Character Descriptions (Based on my own knowledge of Tekken games, and the original motion picture, with my own added twists) Beak Do San - A master of Taekwondo. For reasons unknown, he attacked Marshall Law's Students, and caused massive damage to his dojo. It has been confirmed that he will be one of the new competitors in the tournament. Kunimitsu - Once a petty theif, she eventually found her way into the "Manji Party" led by Yoshimitsu. At first, she was another member using her thieving skills to help the poor, but eventually she began to steal from the Manji clan's funds for her own personal gain. Upon discovery of this, Yoshimitsu banned her from the clan, and she was left to resorting to petty theft, and other odd methods of making a living, until she somehow learned of the "King of Iron Fist" tournament, Heihachi Mishima, the stories of Michelle Chan's pendant, and Kazuya's desire for it. She decided to enter the tournament, specifically to hunt Michelle down and steal her pendant. Anna Williams - The younger sister of Nina Williams, the two always seemed to fight and argue. Like her sister Nina, Anna was also trained by her father to fight, so she could defend herself from her mother. Unfortunately, the skills taught to both, only served to stir the already boiling tensions between them. After learning of the 2nd "King of Iron Fist" tournament, Anna only cares about entering to throw her own sister Nina off and stop her from winning at all costs. Wang Jinrei - A brave and kind-hearted Master. Wang is a friend of the Mishima's, specifically Jinpachi Mishima, the father of Heihachi, who has long died. Knowing the trouble and corruption revolving around the Mishima's, and the tournament, Wang enters in hopes of being the one to defeat Kazuya, and restore peace and nobility to his long deceased friend Jinpachi. Armor King - Armor King is a masked wrestler, like King, who fought King in the first tournament. Although he lost to King, and was left a nasty injury in one of his eyes, leaving him unable to see out of it in the fight, he grew to respect King when he learned of King's reasons for participating in the tournament. When King resorted to drinking as a way to escape his depression from the troubles of the orphanage, King sought his new friend out, and convinced him to redeem himself in the 2nd tournament. He sparred with King to help him strengthen his body and mind for the new tournament, and entered as well to help with the orphanage funding. Kuma - A wild bear who is also Heihachi's pet, skilled in fighting, due to Heihachi's training. He serves as Heihachi's personal bodyguard, and is entering the tournament on Heihachi's be-half to help him take back the Ziabatsu from Kazuya. Prototype Jack - After defeating Jack, and eventually Heihachi, once Kazuya took over the Ziabatsu, he sent several of the mechanical departments workers to find and retrieve Jack's Body, in order to study it's components, and eventually build something more powerful, to counter all those after him. Unable to retrieve the body of Jack, Kazuya decided to kidnap a russian scientist by the name of Dr. Bosconovich, who played a major role in the creation of the original Jack, in order to help him with his personal improved "Jack." After creating this new Jack, Kazuya intends to send it out to kill Heihachi Mishima, as a warning to all those who would oppose him. Dr. Bosconovich - A russian scientist who played a major role in the building of the Jack android. He was kidnapped by Kazuya. During the first tournament, Yoshimitsu participated while his men robbed the Ziabatsu of it's funds. Eventually, before the end of the first tournament, he was hunted and caught by Heihachi's men, had his hand cut off, and was brutally beaten near the point of death . Fortunately, Bosconovich found him wounded when he and a team of scientists had gone to retrieve Jack's body, and he replaced his hand with a cybernetic one and saved his life. Dr. Abel - A mad scientist who works for an organization connected to the Mishima Ziabatsu. Abel is somewhat a rival to Dr. Bosconovich, and takes pride in the construction of the Prototype Jack, simply because it is to be superior to the original, where Bosconovich is involved. Ganryu - Once a professional Sumo Wrestler, his lifestyle outside the ring, mainly bad gambling habits, got him banned from the ring. He learned of the previous "King of Iron Fist" tournament and entered, but lost to Yoshimitsu, who also had learned of Ganryu's corrupt nature, and robbed him! Fortunately for Ganryu, Kazuya witnessed Ganryu's skill in some of the matches, and decided to hire him as a personal bodygaurd after taking over the Ziabatsu. Ganryu isn't a competitor in the tournament, but he is given the task of finding and eliminating Heihachi, as well as retrieving the pendant that Michelle wears around her neck. Bruce Irvin - A skilled Muay Thai boxer, and once the partner of Police Officer, Lei Wu-long, Bruce had been on a flight when it suddenly crashed, and left no other survivors. Left with amnesia from the incident, Kazuya eventually took him in as his personal bodygaurd and the two got along very well. Just as he did in the previous tournament, if Lee was succesful in defeating the last man standing, he would be given the chance to take on Kazuya for the title of "King of Iron Fist." Kazuya also gave Lee 40% ownership of the Ziabatsu's funding, assets, and goods, and full command of the Ziabatsu's Mechanical departments as a token of their partnership. With all this into play, Lee played a very large role in the construction of the Prototype Jack, and the genetically enchanced animals like Roger. Kazuya Mishima - After winning the first tournament, and taking over the Ziabatsu, he struck a deal with the devil for power, and decided to announce the 2nd King of Iron Fist tournament, in order to show the world his new threatening power, and find and elimanate all those who would oppose him.
