Runs on any fuel! Connect up a small turbine to electric generator and battery car. EVERY ELECTRIC CAR PROBLEM SOLVED in a very simple solution. I bet the gas industry buried this brilliant design idea. Just like the early battery and steam cars.

The problem is entirely due to the type of application, gas turbines perform horribly in fuel consumption qjen required to operate in constantly changing loads and rpms and especially when idling or low speeds. Gas turbines are only efficient in applications where they operate at or near maximum output continuously for many hours, weeks or months.
According to Google, he has over 180 cars, and over 160 motorcycles in his private collection! That's Amazing!! I would just like to have a guided tour through his collection and be able to look at some of the most rare and best cars and cycles in history!! Wouldn't that be awesome??

The starter/gen is sized for an engine the size of a RR Nene so it lights immediately. I was expecting the sturn und drang like a PT-6 or a 331 Garrett but no, just click-WHIRRRRRR. Another thing, at idle you can put your tennis shoe clad feet right under the exhaust and it feels comfortably warm but if the driver presses down on the accelerator, you will step back quickly. It was an awesome experience and kudos to Jay and his crew for keeping this warjet on wheels running for us to see in 2017!

Chrysler had absolutely nothing to do with the development or production of the Lycoming PLT25 (AGT-1500) that poweres the M1 Abrams tank. The PLT25 was designed by German engineer Dr. Inselm Franz who designed the engines for the Messerschmitt Me-262.
I still think a small turbine could be used onboard a modern vehicle as a high efficiency generator to run a hybrid design instead of depending on lithium batteries.

I don't think it's very fuel efficient though maybe that could be an issue? I think this could have been something good though if they stuck with it.
Not a practical or commercially viable concept.
Today that would work on used cooking oil even back then you could of made cheap alcohol to use for gaz

It uses a lot of Fuel and it’s tailpipe admissions are high. The only advantage is that it is a multi fuel engine.
