I finally figured out The Summer Knows - Summer of 42 melody in it by Michael Legrand. I literally had to hum it into Google voice to figure out what it was bc I KNEW I recognized it- but couldn’t recall the name! 😅 Great work Kinobe. A new favorite of mine to rival Slip Into Something More Comfortable. 🙌🏼🩵
It has a rendition of Michel Legrande's Summer of 42. A gorgeous film and great soundtrack about families who go to their summer houses in the holiday season, on an island like from Jaws. Set during the war and depicts a few boys who look for adventure until a young lady rents a beach house and they take interest in her. Not to mention the lead boy's sexually frustrated friend,. There's one of those classic scenes going into the chemist for condoms and buying combs and sweets. Good film worth a watch. If not interested, try Legrande's theme to the film
The kaleidoscope footage at 00.33 right after the NYC image segway into the UN building and the sailors looking up, looks like the twin towers collapsing. hmmm
If I was a musician this is the kind of tune/melody I would dream of making.
