    Hi Ketiv,
If you have time could you make a series about "problem solving"
I mean its like why you choose that kind of design,
as a mechanical engineering student(2nd grade) I really want to compete in a challenge,
I amaze how professional could inspired designing stuff base on problem, like the innovation in Airbus Jet Engine Bracket Challenge, the designer could figure the weakspot and improve without comprommising weight
right know I just could an automatic shape generator,
One more example challenge "Airbus Challenge: Design a Water Pump for a Flying Product"
how can we figure what type of gear did we choose, what gear ratio, why we choose compare with other
I really want to learn something like that, in my college we just begin to count a specification of gear not choosing and designing base on problem
    ,thank you so much

      Hi Ian,
Thanks for your suggestion. A lot of information about fundamental design theory can be found in the Shigley's Mechanical Engineering Design textbook. I would start there and apply that theory to your modeling.
