Hi Jack - we have just reserved a gosford. We’re a bit concerned about exchanging contracts so early on in the next 6 weeks with our development only being completed in June. So if anything went wrong and we had to pull out we’re under the impression that we’d lose our 10% deposit on the house which seems to be paid at the exchange. Did you have this issue at all?
Hi there!! Thank you for taking the time to watch my video! When we exchanged contracts at the beginning of the process we only paid a reservation fee. I can’t be 100% sure, but as far am I’m aware of we were to have to stop the process for some reason we would have only lost the reservation fee. This may be differ for different developments. Hi, great video and very informative. Congratulations! One question, during the formal reservation meeting at their office, do they take another official reservation fees? A bigger amount than the £250 you mentioned to book the plot?

@@jfr.productions thanks for the reply. Yeah, we are in the process of buying a new build with Taylor Wimpy and they require £2000 during the formal reservation. Not sure if it will be considered within deposit or if this is sunken cost. We didn't pay the £250 to reserve though
