First and foremost, I LOVE NIGERIAN MOVIES! Now on to my observation of the movie. Just like real life the movie is full of contradictions. The Mothers believe a "good wife" should be naive and submissive when they themselves are loud, abrasive and rude. Furthermore; the wife is responsible for "nurturing" her husband. One (mother) does not have a husband. The other has no respect for her husband and has "nurtured" him into alcoholism. Again, I LOVE Nigerian movies...keep em coming.
It matters not where the girl is raised, but, how the girl is raised..Great message, great movie...Awesome job cast and crew!..I will always love the village movies..

Nollywood is 200% better than Hollywood and I say this bcuz Nollywood movies have substance, tradition, relate ability, african beauty and I could go on. Hollywood just has special effects in their movies. No subtance no character no values. I will always be a fan of Nollywood. No bootlegs
In life you must make a good decision, be faithful and remains humor. Don't like someone takes control over your life. Lessons learned forgive people that do you wrong. One mistake you make will distract your entire life, be very carefully of how you handle your fellow beings, not because of where they come from.
This is certainly one the best Nigerian movies because it teaches us so many lessons. My question is, who do you blame for Joseph's failed marriage; his mom, his friend who convinced him to follow his(Joseph) mother's advice, the city girl,Joseph himself or society for having the assumption that village girls are better than city ones?
this film just shows the paternalistic attitude that many nigerians have towards marriage. the men treated their wives like children or servants but not equals.

Very nice movie, like maman Patience Ozokwor, Nnenna makes a big mistake by listening to her friend instead of her husband, her age to get married doesn't matter. Parents should let their children to make their choice for getting married and just give some advices to how to live in their marriage and pray for them so, tomorrow they will not blame them if something terrible like this happen.

I am a big fan of nigerian movies, and have enjoyed almost all i have watched, i liked this one because it so true, but the most fascinating thing is that where i come from in SA the mother in laws are just the same and get up to the same tricks, i am going back 23 years ago now, maybe things have changed. good film i love the way they use the english language when insulting someone, or complementing like those 2 palyer boys, very very funny ( intersting play on words)
