When factoring in age the basic rule is to decrease the setting by moving up the chart by one line for skiers 9 years old and under and skiers 50 years old and over. This is to factor in bone density as it relates to age. The reason that the recommended DIN setting decreases as boot sole length increases is leverage on the bones in your leg. Also the DIN chart also has a reduced setting of -1 skier type and an increased setting of skier type 3+

If you have bindings that at 6 years old can you use the 2021 chart or must I find a chart for the same year as binding?
