For me, this is flagship to buy. Decent battery life, good cameras, under display selfie cam as a main feature, good enough amoled, decent charging...and a price tag below all of competiotion. Yeah some sort of IP rating is a must for a flagship, but for me its a gimmick (for most users certanly not) so whatever. Great and unique package overall

mechanism are perfectly fine. I've had my Zenfone 6 for nearly 3 years and the main camera module pops around to become the selfie one. It still works like new.

However I just discovered the redmagic 8 pro today and that thing looks like a beast! No SD card but I'd get the 256 gig 12 gig ram model. So memory won't be an issue. Plus dual sim. Might even be esim capable as well! Base price in the low 700s with the top one around 850-950ish I think so well see.
Mechanisms are as others saying fine, I've got the one plus 7 pro, which has a pop up front camera so complete full screen, also stereo speakers, 90htz 8gb ram really really fast screen finger print, Dolby atmos, god its LOUD, think it has high res audio built into the phone, , it's a bloody brilliant phone, fluid amoled screen, the list goes on of brilliant specs, I'm not so vein to care about taking pictures of myself, I don't care, I've got better things to take pictures of than myself, hehe, and it's really not expensive, so if anyone reads this and is wants a full screen, the one plus 7 pro is SUPPERB,, its the best phone I've ever had, and I've had loads and loads of smartphones from loads of brands in my life

Are you sure you are correct with Brightness? ZTE is saying it can get up to 1500 Nits, now I'm not expecting the full 1500 in auto mode under direct sunlight but 680 is nowhere near that! I was expecting at least 1000 or something.
The battery running that hot is a total oversight! It slows the phone down a lot, runs thru battery 25% faster, and is very uncomfortable to hold for matches in games!
Lol no smartphones over 1000$ have a headphone jack and the majority don't have SD Card Support. The phone is 799$ in the United States it's not 1k. Wireless charging is cool but it's definitely not a must have feature, I would just use the 65W wired charging anyways

Excellent review! However, most ZTE phones get absolutely *no* software updates of *any* kind. My ZTE Blade A7P that I purchased from Telus in Canada this January with Android 11 has yet to receive an update . . . and I try *every* day because I am a glutton for punishment. I guess that you get what you pay for.
