This is hands down my favourite Matt Corby performance. His voice is actually incredible and the band made this an even better song in my humble opinion. Gets me every time I watch it
This was sick. Exactly how I reacted to it I couldn't stop head bopping to the slick rawness of Matt and the band. I've noticed people suggesting listening to the original.. if you do, you should listen to her performing it at the world music awards in '96. I promise you CAN'T be disappointed !! 🔥🔥🔥
Matt I see you haven’t yet done a reaction to Tina Arena, the composer of “Chains”. I recommend both her official music video of it (highly sensual) and a more recent elegant and sophisticated version. Both are on Tina’s channel where she sings it at the ARIA awards (our version of the Grammys) along with The Veronicas and Jess Mauboy. It’s a world-class performance! I also recommend the official music video of another of her early hits, “Sorrento Moon”. It has a great Latin flavour. To round off her talent for composition, there’s the beautiful ballad “Wasn’t It Good”. Her most well-known performance song that she didn’t compose is “I Want To Spend My Lifetime Loving You” with Marc Anthony from the movie “The Mask of Zorro”.
Now the need to see the original: Tina Arena, Jessica Mauboy & The Veronicas - Chains (Live at the ARIA Awards) ruclips.net/video/nIAOJl4f5Ps/видео.html&ab_channel=TinaArena

Matt Corby arranges his own songs usually, not sure if he did for this. He is a drummer, keyboardist, guitarist, flautist etc etc haha
Agreed, Matt normally arranges all his stuff. Also the women singing with Matt is not Tina Arena; they are just covering her song.
I believe Matt does most of his own arranging....plays multiple instruments....he is a magic man...a vocal supremo
SENSATIONAL
No other words.

Love the reaction. Same love jazz and this has the same tempo that taps to your heart ✌️❤️
I've only ever seen one singer lean back the way Matt does when he's ripping the big notes. Ray Charles.
This is my favorite cover of his. He is such a virtuoso.
The girl in this vid isn't tina arena, it's Tina's song. worth checking out the original.
Matt does all his own arrangements, in his latest album he sings lead backing and plays every instrument
