@LegacyRetroFormats same happened against me, dude solemned my jd, I monster rein, summoned jd eff, normal summon, stack for plague, gg. Granted that was a correct solemn, 4k is too much in edison, unless it's saving you from mirror or tt where the opp goes plus 4.
You don't get to wait and see what Snipe Hunter rolls before you chain Bottomless. You have to chain it to Snipe Hunter's effect as chain link 2.
