Am an Indian born in Tanzania. My forefathers are from India. The song when they were chanting "kata kata" repeatedly. The word Kata is a swahili language meaning "to cut" and also in hindi for "cut" we say kato (depending on the tenses). Love your educational videos. Get Your facts correct. It's a kind of Check point for the vehicle travelling by, you'll see such gate in most of the Village not only in Africa but in North eastern site too. The vehicle will always travelled by the gate through the Road. They're are not the guard of the Village.
