Dad had two promac 610s from that time period (should've bought swedish saws by then, but he's the kind of person who was still buying the mac name after they stopped making good saws and didn't finally get a swede saw until 10 years ago). Typical comment after the "real" mac gave up. "have a tree down on the driveway, but saw won't start". Both 610s were spent by the time he was done with them, though, and so was his back. Slow awkward saw prone to overheating if run too hard, but they did last a while.
