  • Six adorable baby raccoons have been born at the bottom of a chimney, a common choice for mother raccoons looking for a safe and comfortable place to raise their young.
With their innate ability to adapt to their surroundings, it's no surprise that raccoons choose chimneys as their den, which resembles the hollow trees that they would typically call home in the wild.

Thanks to your compassion and kindness these little creatures and their momma get a 2nd chance at life , sadly though their are ignorant minded people who would rather harm the wild life instead of relocating them . The service you offer to your clients is so valuable in the conservation and protection of wildlife which I believe is the most positive outcome for these creatures.

I had a raccoon in our attic around the New Year. I had Gates come and they put a one way door. The raccoon then went and found another way in. We had all our roof vents covered and haven't had an issue since. A week later, I saw our neighbours behind had a one way door on their roof and a week after that, I again see Gates truck up the street. These little rascals will just go from house to house it seems. So glad I chose Gates to resolve our problem. I just hope the little guys find a proper home where they don't bother us and we won't bothering them.

Have you ever had a mom NOT remove her babies or leave any behind? I suppose there's always a chance something could happen to the mom and leave you with orphans, but all the critters you remove in the spring seem like good mothers.

I'm just curious, is there a potential for a roofs warranty to be voided after the holes are drilled into it for the boxes that are being put up there? I know even installing a satellite dish can sometimes void a warranty on a roof, as if it's not done properly & it punctures the membrane it can leak and/or collect water underneath. I just keep thinking that every time I see the shingles being drilled into. It's not my roof, so it shouldn't really be my concern, but, I was curious if I was missing something? Sorry for my weird question.
Thanks for doing the safe removals!
