This is great! I was going to start a no spend in 2025, but I decided to just start. No prep, nothing...just begin. I'm literally on day 2! ☺️ I've also been decluttering a lot. I got a little stalled at towards the end of summer. We're just in a weird season with adult children moving out, one getting married, etc. I always try to declutter during Advent, but again, I'm just starting now. Can't wait to hear how things go!
Hello, I am taking this journey with you too. I have been decluttering my house for weeks now, I want to focus on cleaning instead of putting away things too. Something that I do that I am afraid I will fail, is just like you when the kids are not listening or to change the mood, I go to the drive thru for a coffee, they are still little so I don't have to get them something although sometimes I do but man, the coffee its very expensive nowadays. Hopefully I will save a lot money this year haha. What do you mean when you say things are very different once the kids are in school vs homeschool? Looking forward to the updates! God bless you!
@@Van-c7f yay for you!!! That’s great!! Drive thru coffee is soooo yummy snd so easy! I get it! Once the kids go to school there are soooo many extra unexpected expenses: a school shirt here, school supplies there, the girl friend group wants to exchange presents, the kids want to take extra curricular activities that are not included in the school fees… the list goes on and on. It’s not bad just different!!
I’m so inspired by your journey and have decided to do something similar. Do you grocery shop every week or once a month? We do once a month and it helps us save but I have to figure out how to navigate a year of no spend with ‘allowable’ items!
@@arudd7212 I shop once a week. We have so many people in the home now and older kids with different dietary needs. Some weeks they eat every thing super fast and I have to go pick up more, other weeks they eat more slowly and sometimes they’re really snacky like during sports seasons. I’m so excited for you and your journey!
