This is very true for trade shows in any niche. For me, in the past it was the SEMA Show for automotive. I went for 19 years in a row (it would've been 20 had it not been for the pandemic) and every year it was great to see old friends and people I see there every year. This is great advice, and a great take on your CES trip, Michael. If I may give you some advice on your videos like this, however, and take it for what you will--it's just my opinion. Your talking head A-roll in-studio was ruined by the constant music bed, which at times overpowered your voice. For B-roll at CES, I think the music bed is great and needed... however when you're in your studio talking, maybe save for a few seconds at the top of your video, cut the music entirely (not just make it super low). Your story is a billion times more important than anything else and you don't need background music to improve it. That is all, and it's something I will be doing myself moving forward in my videos because admittedly I've been bad about it (and really bad about it a long time ago lol)
@@MichaelSoledadYou are far from being a rookie, my friend! I love your videos, I was just like "awwwww noooo" when I was trying to hear your story but was distracted by the music. Plus it saves you time having to find music and add it in. Just scrap it! Your stories will be so much better to hear!!
BTW I realize it's a style (in looking back at a few of your videos) and if that's how you want to create, then ignore my ass! haha Just trying to help. Sometimes people don't like to give constructive criticisms but I've always enjoyed your content and want to help! The other thing too is what you might use for audio monitors (speakers or headphones) might not be the same for others. Once I'm done with a video, I like to play it not just on my Mac but on my iPhone, my TV, and try a variety of common video consumption devices. It's surprising how listening to the audio on different devices can be. I quite often will make drastic changes to my video after doing this before I publish. Again, my $0.02 -- and I'm far from perfect myself. I'll shut up now :)
