this anime, while certainly not the best out there, manages to do something that close to none manage to do, by making the CG parts the best parts of the series, instead of the reason i decide to drop it 90% of the time CG is just used as a cheaper or easier way to animate certain parts (usually either monsters / combat or backgrounds, which dont have to look as good) and looks either slightly off or just plain lazily done, here they actually put effort into the CG fight scenes and i should stop ranting now for whatever reason Etotama just makes me happy, its stupid, its weird, its fun, the op is lit, the ed is great too i just love this anime
I wish this got a sequel. Easily one of the best CGI animated shows even in 2022 where a lot of shows look downright horrendous trying incorpate them in. The characters are expressive, movement is fluid, choregraphy is on-spot, etc. Even if Etotama had an average plot, animation was on another level.
Don't be fooled by the cute/adorable looks and amusing animation (and lack of blood). If these characters fought in the REAL world (or their real word), they be on par with Nuclear weapons, One-man Army, etc. They be OP monsters on par with characters like Saber, Luffy, Naruto, Natsu, Gintoki etc.
If there was a 2.5D fighting game like Guilty Gear made out of this series where all the 12 girls are playable with a lot of the move sets are based on the show/manga and/or the animal with the transition (like Tekken 6/Tournament 2) being the transformation sequences with some of the battle bgm and stages being ripped from this anime or even the second season, I would totally buy it. Heck if there has to be DLC, throw in a race scene as a mini-game and the shogi scene as a mini-game and I'll buy those too.

Some of the 3d scenes might seem out of context, for example the first battle, when Nya-tan fights Dora-tan, and Dora-tan was actually only pretending to be a villain, to prepare Nya-tan for the scenario, when she's gonna fight a real villain

この世には沢山のアニメがあり、無料公開のアニメを1話だけ見ると、何となくそのアニメの感じがつかみ取れると思うのですが、このアニメ「えとたま」は違います。
圧倒的に古いギャグセンスと、あえて一昔前前に流行った演出や編集店舗の数々。
1話に対しての情報量の濃縮具合が半端ないです。
このアニメの良さと言うのは、数話を一目見ただけでは感じ取れません。
ましてやご覧頂いているyoutubeでの違○アップロードですと、OPとEDが著作権対策の為カットされているので、主題歌無しでの視聴となってしまいます。
皆さん是非とも円盤をお手に取っていただけませんか？
売上は悲惨でしたが、最近ですといわゆるパチンコマネーなるもののおかげでOVAも作れましたし、企業様様であります。
結論を言いますと「えとたま」は神アニメです。
