If bowers is as good as described he’s well ahead of Maye and a genuine convo between him and Nabers (Maye isn’t a borderline first round startup pick)
@@Theodoredarling ‘prime Kelce’ @21 should be in the first. If bowers scores relatively the same amount of points in TEP he’s worth more being at a scarce position
@@DynastyLeagueFootball bowers has shown a higher ceiling points wise in TEP. I’ve heard other dynasty creators say they’d take him in the first of a startup. The fact these players may already be this valuable to people is a big time sign to sell now. They're 5 or 6 games into their career and you can get multiple 1st round picks plus an established fantasy producer at the same position?? That's an easy move, especially when you consider you'll be able to do the same thing again in a few years with the rookies who come out in those draft classes, and just reacquire the current rookies if they actually are producing.
@@DynastyLeagueFootball Which could end up being a bad trade, something like DHop, and drafting Sermon in '21, and Pickens in '22. Also could've ended up being Kupp, Chase('21), and Hall('22), which you could never never get today for Jefferson. I'll guess your trade was in the middle, maybe closer to bad by your comment, but the odds you're trading away a guy who's the WR1 overall in value for at least a half dozen years will be really low. You just ran into bad luck. You'll crush the vast majority of the time.
I think the issue is that the examples in recent history of players reaching ELITE value levels this early in their careers is seldom without cause and rarely crashes. Jefferson spiked hard and he’s stayed there. Chase spiked and has stayed there. Burrow and Herbert spiked and stayed there (until Herbert was killed by dumb coaching). Players don’t get driven up that hard in value this early without reason.
@@DynastyLeagueFootball Sure, with those players, not so much with the entire QB class of '21, Kyle Pitts, Najee, and now happening to laporta. And that's not including players who lost massive value due to injury. My thing is that it's every year that we're hearing about a new "generational talent" who vaults into the top 5 in value at their position. People got burned by Jefferson's slow start, and Chase's poor preseason, so now they're going overboard when a young player has a few good games. Too many people wanna be 1st to call a player the next great thing, rather than be right about how good the player will actually be in the long run. I'm just saying to take advantage of the over reactions with how much you can get in return.
By this time in the 2021 class, the only three players who were valued as top-5 positional assets were Chase, Najee, and Pitts. The only QB to crack the top-10 by the end of that year was Lawrence and he was QB9. So I’d argue the QBs aren’t good examples for you here, and we know Chase was excellent. So it’s just Najee, Pitts, and LaPorta. So maybe we can just knock down the TEs for being TEs haha we’re so hungry for an elite guy and maybe that’s a knock on Bowers then but I doubt it. No one has ever done what Bowers is doing. And then there’s Najee. Ok, we vaulted him up too quickly, that’s an L. But a rookie RB with 1600 yards and 10 TDs should be vaulted to top-5 dynasty RB in all cases. It’s just unfortunate Najee couldn’t continue building on that, or even sustaining it. So actually since 2020, the players vaulted to top-5 at their position by the end of October according to DLF ADP were: CEH Jonathan Taylor CeeDee Lamb Ja’Marr Chase Najee Harris Kenneth Walker Breece Hall Bijan Gibbs Laporta Kincaid Nabers Bowers Daniels Only four guys are misses: CEH, Najee, Pitts, LaPorta, and again I think Pitts and LaPorta are a TE issue (similar for Kincaid but what’s TE5 really worth overall?). But EVERYONE ELSE has been worth their weight in gold if you DIDN’T sell based on their early value explosion.
