Living here in South Africa, we have been undergoing load-shedding for a while now with power outages all over South Africa for periods of 10 hours off in a 24 hour cycle and longer in other provinces. Of course, business are suffering tremendously and the daily the need for solar power and Li-Ion batteries are becoming more and more necessary. The power stations back here have many, many issues of frequent break-downs, hence all the load-shedding, and ironically as you said, as everyone goes solar/battery off-grid, if the sudden need for power is required from the main grid, then major instability would occur at the power stations!
I am planning to add Lithium 48V 200Ah batteries to my two 5K hybrid inverters (the same you have over there). How many of these batteries in parallel can handle the inverters?.

Hi, the justification of power trading is simple, if the difference/profit in selling less buying is greater than the levelized cost of energy for a replacement battery,, then you are making money. 😀

We're running on around 8.5 to 9 hours of Solar Sun in summer in South Africa, I've been able to peak close to max 95% of the panels capacity ...
What's the difference bet a AC COUPLED, hybrid and a Grid tied ? Same thing?
