There’s something preventing me from removing the palm rest underneath the touch pad, and I can’t seem to find the problem

you might be sliding the palm rest in another direction and I am assuming all the screws are removed first.

Good info, but the background music is annoying and unnecessary. Tech videos should never have background music competing for the attention of visitors needing to hear the tech. Now you understand why you don't have enough likes and followers.
