I'm using NX12 for the past year but I miss Inventor for assemblies. You have the option to ground the first component placed into an assembly with Inventor. Then add components and build from there. It's easy.
+Colin Gallacher Concentric constraints don't allow axial motion (didn't remember this when making the video). Using a Touch constraint with the infer axis option instead of prefer touch will allow two parts to be constrained concentrically but still allow axial motion.
... and that's why c.c. in NX is not the same with c.c. in Solidworks: it includes a plane alignment (try c.c. with cylinders, not circles, see if & how it works). ;)
anyone can point out how to revive Fillet command in NX 8.5? its in the customize properties, then i drag it to the tool bar menu but still its not activated. ?

Great Tutorial dude! Thanks
Did you figure out why the concentric constraint didn't allow you to separate the bodies along the central axis? (16:09)

thank you very much I learned a lot
When will you upload next tutorial sir?

Pakhavar I didn't know NX has fillets. They have edge blends, which are their versions of fillets. I am no expert in NX so don't take my word as such.
actually in "sketching" there is a fillet command. Normally we use edge blend which is more useful. thanx for responding.
can you share the assignment?
super
Too bad the resolution isn't great, but good tutorial! Thanks
thre is no assembly work
Please get better resolution. I can't se shit.
Pretty good tutorial exept that
get a little better resolution.............OW very simple and nice lesson
Nothing comes close to solidworks
