Judith's vocal and piano playing is outstanding, not many singers chose to perform in this manner anymore, that's why Judith will be a lady for the history books.
I believe this was her 60th birthday concert. In the DVD she dithered over her reading glasses just like any of my friends around that age. Great rendition from one of the world's best voices.
This will sung at my memorial service when I pass on..... along with I'll Never find Another You, "Your My Spirit" and close with "Keep a Dream In Your Pocket"
One from the heart.......Judith's heart! This beautiful song was penned by her many years before she actually recorded it. If anything, it gives an insight as to her feelings when she was at the height of her fame with The Seekers in the 60's. At that time, in spite of all the adulation and attention she was getting in the UK, she was terribly homesick and missed her parents and family back in Australia. Her fleeting visits back home during those heady days only highlighted the wrench when it came to leaving them all behind again and this beautifully puts those feelings into words about the pain of parting. A beautiful woman with a loving heart!
I've been waiting for 50 years for a female singer to come along who I thought was better than Judith Durham. Still waiting !!! Love you dear lady, always will.
+Barry Waller You will wait and wait and wait and................. This lady is an angel from heaven. She sings, she composes, plays the piano to concert standard but also has a sweet gentle soul to match
I live in the same country and state as Judith. Will love her always most dearly and believe her voice was as good as anyone. But if I may suggest you have a listen to Sissel Kyrkjebo, I believe she has taken over the mantle.
I dident know she was so good on the piano I love the seekers the only other female singer although their chalk and cheese is dolly parton who wrote great songs and played a lot of instruments Judith has a great voice
We do not want to say, Goodbye Judith. Sing with the Angel’s there, ✨🕊✨and we will hear you sing whenever the opportunity, is here. At this moment, you are here.
The best, still a brilliant vocal from a true star. A funny, loveable entertaining Lady that leaves nothing and gives it all every time. What a voice and talent this beautiful lady has and yet so grounded and unassuming. Never will be bettered and always enjoyed.
It's hard to leave you all behind Those loving smiles so sweet and kind I love you all, you're part of me With you I leave the heart of me It's hard to go, but now's the time With loving arms I intertwine There will be times I miss you so It's hard to leave, but I must go I won't look back along the way It only makes me want to stay With every step I'm sure I'll find A different loved one on my mind Without my friends here by my side My destiny will be my guide There will be times I miss you so It's hard to leave, but I must go It's hard to leave the ones you love Though other stars may shine above But I can hope within my song That after all it won't be long But it is now I feel the pain I may not see you all again There will be times I miss you so It's hard to leave but I must go It's hard to leave but I must go
The very first time I heard this song, I think I cried - and its very hard to listen to without welling up. One of the most poignant and moving goodbye songs ever.
This is a fantastic song and one of my all time favorites... it was written by Judith. I sent a letter to Judith asking about where to purchase the score or sheet music for this song and she replied that one was never made..... I hope she changes her mind as this song may be lost in time and it is too beautiful a song for that to happen...
Can't listen to this without a tear. It is almost heartbreaking to listen to Judith do this song - yet I have to listen to it every time I come across it. Thank you for posting. I hope there are others from this same performance; seems those were the ones we lost.
My bff passed away yesterday and as spirit wills I discovered this song. My friend Jim thanks for the lovely message. And through a favorite singer. Along our way.
Let's get a million views for this special lady

Everytime I hear Judith I only wish some younger music fans would open their ears to appreciate really good music!!!!

Beyond wonderful. Judith Durham had the most beautiful voice.
Just wonderful, what a lovely song, she had a beautiful voice. Sad to hear of her recent passing. Always enjoy the Seekers music.
Perhaps I am having an emotional day - but this has reduced me to weeping tears. Love you Judith.
Thank you for posting
Don't tell anybody but this is the song of Judith's that touches Proculled's hearth most.Bless her for putting this down on paper all those years ago.
This is the first time I'm hearing this song and it sounds so beautiful, the lyrics and the wonderful voice of Judith.
1st for me with tears cleaning my eyes having lost her yet so happy we have her videos & recordings..

No one to compare.....pure class.
It's hard to leave you all behind
Those loving smiles so sweet and kind
I love you all, you're part of me
With you I leave the heart of me
It's hard to go, but now's the time
With loving arms I intertwine
There will be times I miss you so
It's hard to leave, but I must go
I won't look back along the way
It only makes me want to stay
With every step I'm sure I'll find
A different loved one on my mind
Without my friends here by my side
My destiny will be my guide
There will be times I miss you so
It's hard to leave, but I must go
It's hard to leave the ones you love
Though other stars may shine above
But I can hope within my song
That after all it won't be long
But it is now I feel the pain
I may not see you all again
There will be times I miss you so
It's hard to leave but I must go
It's hard to leave but I must go
The very first time I heard this song, I think I cried - and its very hard to listen to without welling up. One of the most poignant and moving goodbye songs ever.

Judith you are wonderful we need more real women like you. bless your heart.

I used to think this song was about Judith leaving the "Boys" behind, so beautiful, tender, touching.
