omg I just get goosebumps when I see older pete be the narrator. It just really makes you think and seeing this show at a different point of view as a kid. Watching older pete grow up and how younger pete reacts and just seeing life go on. I think this was one of the best shows ever!! I am 25 right now and still find this show great to watch!.
I regret not watching this show a lot more as a kid. I did catch quite a few episodes but I never "got" it at the time. Watching it now at age 30, this show is fucking amazing. And how can you not love the opening theme? Shit gets stuck in my head all the time. It's funny though, I sometimes will do the Artie pose when I'm flexing but no one ever catches the reference lol.
I am 13 and have not seen a moment of this show in my life before watching this video, and I have to say, this is the weirdest and funniest thing I've seen all week.
@@AugustTheStag I have not, but this is pretty lulzy I vaguely remember this And yeah life's treated me alright, if there's one thing I could say to my 13 year old self it would be "get off the internet", but I am exactly the same as my 13 year old self in that regard, and I don't actually regret my time spent on old youtube whatsoever.
@@sarah.rarwasunavailable How fascinating, I am a little over 10 years older than you and when I was 13 I too was on my pc and on the internet all the time. Difference is, this was encouraged. Artie is a beautiful golden Adonis, tempered in the flames of Hephaestus' forge, and breathed to life by the glowing lightning bolts of Zeus himself. He is part mortal. He is part god. He is a soldier of the dance floor. And his weapon is funk.
Thanks for telling me. I still don't remember the ending however I do remember how Artie got eliminated. He started running towards the pay phone but he ran right past it and couldn't stop running XD!
The fact that it is surreal makes it great. The point of Pete & Pete is to show us what believed as a kid, through adulthood eyes, not what was actually happening.
@TerrorDomeRules In a world where people eat metal..... In a time where children are not little vikings.... In a city that has long since been without super funk.... ....a hero must rise up in a land canoe to save us all. "Artie: Red and Blue Forever" Coming 2012
Did Artie ever actually do anything "super powered" _on-screen?_ Back when this show was on the air, I always thought he was just some Special Needs guy that the younger one just indulged. I wasn't too into this show, so I never watched a whole lot of it.
Artie just might be the greatest character ever created.
Aside from Powdered Toast Man
U fuckn right

I just love the phrase: "Like a giant funk magnet"
Now that I'm older I really could appreciate the surrealism behind pete and pete as oppose to before when it was just the "show before Rocko"..
Artie once moved a whole house 1 inch just to screw with the owners! lol
He meant to move it further but had hurt himself earlier that week.
This show was one of a kind. Incredible.
Wow Ohio Players reference in Pete and Pete... Great show

ONE OF THE BEST THINGS EVER!!! NOSTALGIA IS SOOO F#@$IN ADDICTING!! I JUST CAN'T STOP!!!
Artie was the limo driver on curb your enthusiasm last week lol.

The actor who played Artie also voiced Cotton Hill on King of the Hill.
And Kahn, the Laotian neighbor
Artie STILL kills me haha
.....voodoo krispy. Fuck, this was a good show.
Artie you were hero in the 90's

I wish Artie was my best friend.
lol i dont think Artie is real. hes like a ghost,, a Guardian angel or something of that nature.
there is artie in all of us. be the artie you wish to see in the world.
+Justin Widle He IS
He his at heart 🤣💜🖤💜
Best opening line to a video ever... "My plan wasn't based on the Crimean War or anything..."
Artie needs to be Nick Allstar Brawl 2.
If Artie and Powdered Toast Man combined forces, they could really do something awesome.
It is still awesome. Does not degrade with time, like some things from the past.
"Music of the Gods!!! I am alive young George Clinton!" fucking awesome
OMG I remember this & Goosebumps, & The Old NIck... RIP my childhood
God knows how many years go by but I still come back
artie and lil pete made this show super funny and that song is such a classic that the band was playing in the beginning

He lifted the corner of a house... does that count?
Xuncu He hit a golfball really far. Also, it's more mystical than super powered, but he could be summoned with funk or letting the air out of tires.
Well, he DID win a race against a head of cabbage once...
he moved a house a inch to troll a OCD guy
Once hit a golfball 300 003 yards. Beat up the Atlantic Ocean and successfully held off an attack by a pack of maniac schnauzers.
