MF 399 TURBO SOUND! STRAIGHT PIPE!

- Visited "Renskleiv" farm 1000 km south of where we live. We got the chance to record a sound video of this Massey Ferguson 399 Turbo. A great looking tractor with even better sound!
Recorded with Nikon D5300 and Gopro Hero 6.

Damn, that ol' 399 looks to be taken good care of, I LOVE IT! 399 is one of my favorite ones. Quite impressive stable you've got there, with all those MF's, that's pretty damn sexy. I shouldn't say this, cause it's not political correct, but, the 399 sits on top of my list, actually above, MB Trac, which has been an absolute favorite, since I was a kid. It looks like you've fitted some bigger front tyres?
I love the new Fendt's too, they're damn sexy too, but there's just something with a 399 that makes your blood pump work a bit extra.
Dont compare mercedes to real tractors. Do to look valtra 8950 😉

Can you explain, i have two old MF 390. And dont understand. Are the perkins motor good or bad.

perkins engines... The only way you can destroy them completely is driving without oil but they're running always - you never get them dense but just as little destroyed

how you have made the Sutututu when you put on haigher gear? I have an 3080 turbo and ther is not some sututu sound
Its a bought turbo, not original, the MF 399 doesnt have an turbo. I dont know which turbo ist fitted but im Sure when U fitt a bigger turbo, your MF will make a similar Sound! Greetings

Nice 👍 but turbo's quieten an engine down, take the turbo off...! Have the pump recalibrated to around 115hp then it will sound better 😉

What is this? Is 399 turbo factory produced? I had never seen! How many horsepower? Did you change the size of the tires yourself? No problem?

@@olomayianalenchilaloi3694 Looks like it has a side mounted gearstick and newer Dana front axle, so it is 1006.6 engine. My 399 has Holset hx35 with internal wastegate and stock pump and injectors. Look up youtuber Luttisaari, he has a great video of his 399 with Garrett (finnish only videos, but you can see how its done anyway)

That’s open pipe not straight pipe, and so so bad for the engine.
It is straight piped, but the pipe was removed for better sound.
