I actually own that 2005 CXL same exact model different color. Its my daily work driver. Currently has 114K miles still drives smooth.. & the v6 series 3 3800 engine is bullet proof.
I’ve always liked these cars for some reason. But I’ll tell you, I rented one on vacation. I honestly couldn’t believe how beautiful this car rode. Incredible!!!

The Buick 3800 was by far- the best in its class. As close to being indestructible as an Engine could ever be. I desperately miss the 80’s to early ‘00s automotive era. Also, Happy Anniversary to your folks!
That's where the shifter belongs. I hate those oversize center consoles on modern cars. They eat up a lot of room and make you feel like you are in a capsule.

I like these midsized cars. It is like Buick’s version of the late 90’s to 00’s Ford Taurus. Cannot get over the awesome front seating and shifter setup!

Very nice old Buick- these cars are bulletproof - they ride & handle reasonably well, are roomy & quiet, and will give you great service for a long, long time if you take care of them. Hello Anthony and Papa Bear. I also miss the LeSabre, Park Avenue days. My dad's last car was a 1979 LeSabre. Very comfortable, reliable car. My sister inherited it and six months later traded it on a 3 cylinder Geo Metro. The Lacrosse you feature is a very nice car. The only one to avoid is the of this First Gen Lacrosses are the 2005-2008 CXS with the 3.6L V6 that eat timing chains the CXS was actually the top of the line from 05-07 then the Super came in 08-09

The supers had dual exhaust pipes too. I’ve only seen one of those ever driving around on the streets. They are “super” rare. Probably the rarest W body V8 car.
My son had a 2005 LaCrosse in Ice blue after his 2005 LeSabre was totalled. He noticed the steep decline in richness. To this day he recalls the LeSabre, 2005 Celebration in diamond white with chrome wheels. Safety Catcher seats in the LeSabre were deleted for LaCrosse and the Celebration Ed. had heads up display. Nice basic Buick here.
You unbolt those two upper motor mounts called dog bones and the engine rocks or pivots or rolls forward, whatever term you wish to use, and the rear sparkplugs are really easy to change.

Acoustic is the GM laminated windshield . More quiet and less noise and less heat transfer from Mr sun to passengers in the cabin. Used in upper level GM cars and it really does work functionally
I have a 2002 Buick regal ls. Had it for going on 4 years. Beat the hell and rusted alot. Them gm 3800 engines are are bullet proof. I never had to put money into engine.
As a big older Buick fan and current owner of a 2008 Lucerne CXS Northstar V8. I've also had a 2000 LeSabre Custom (sold) and a 2009 Lucerne CXL (totaled). I think Buick pretty much died after the Lucerne died in 2011. Buick kinda came back with the 2017-2020 full-size Lacrosse and the 2018-2020 Regal but then died again after that. We have a 2018 Regal TourX Essence which is a very nice and comfortable modern car.
Buicks were never really my thing. Aside from the early 70s Skylarks, the 80s Grand Nationals, and the 90s Roadmaster Wagons, the brand just didn't do it for me. However, it was nice for GM to offer that sweet LS4 5.3 Liter V8 with this car for a while. And Happy Anniversary to Mama Bear and Papa Bear!

It says exempt on the label because that is the emissions label which you are exempt from if you drive less than 5,000 since you last had it inspected.
People who drive cars less than 5,000 per year are exempt. My grandparents had that since they went so few places, store was just outside of the development. Saw her sister 1x per month 15 miles away etc

My Nana and grandpas last new car in Massachusetts, they had was a 2006 Buick lacrosse CX They owned it from thanksgiving of 2005 until they passed away on July 3, 2011, and March 8, 2016 No one in my family wanted it so we sold it in the estate sale on April 3, 2016 find the title was in probate until July 20, 2016. I don’t know, it’s whereabouts now

Wish they kept the front bench seating on sedans. This is the newest mid sized sedan with it. Lacrosse after this stopped offering it.

The sticker is because the vehicle is from upstate Pennsylvania where Emissions tests aren't required. Very nice car.

I have the 07 CXS trim. Phenomenal car. It's gonna get me through my year before I trade it.
Considering the low mileage, the PA emissions exempt sticker is most likely because the car was driven less than 5,000 miles between inspections.

Yes to satellite antenna for Sirius XM radio equipped cars from GM wGM Delco stereo radio etc. equipment.

I know the CXS didn’t have the front bench seats. But did his CXL have the bench seats?
I thought the 3.8L was in the 05 and earlier models, then they brought out the 3.6L later?
