@@kewntube I wanted to say that The Contraption was actually the piece that inspired me to get together a sax quartet of my own earlier this year. I still listen to it regularly
@@joeyfletcher5281 huh! Thank you! I remember French Horn being involved sometimes, which I thought weird at the time, but then I remembered it's tone and... That's why it's there
the second eighth, first after the eight break in the first bar alto and forward, should not be connected to the remaining notes. its 3/4, not 6/8. still a very nice piece.
@@frankgyeabour359 i disagree, it would make the rhythm of that particular figure look outstanding and easier to see. i would even suggest a legato slur for the last four notes. But i suppose its a matter of opinion, as it wont sound very different either way. ^_^
So wunderschön 😊 🎷🎶
Playing this as a sax quartet for a spring concert for my high school! Love the piece
I friggin love the eight note runs giving the song pace and supporting the long note melodies. Lovely arrangement
This is definitely on par with Lachlan Kuhn’s “The Contraption.” :)
no.
@@frankgyeabour359 For what it's worth, I'm very flattered by the comparison. Love this piece! - Lachlan

@@tjeffersonb Nice one!
That’s exactly what I was thinking!
This is awesome! Poor bari sax never gets one of the long note melodies :P
Very nice.
This is a wonderful piece. Quite unexpected.
What a magnificent composition!
This is wonderful! ❤️
Love the concept and then written really well too. Thanks!
Tonal harmony isn't dead!
Perfection
Is this really free? Such an incredible composition.
I have never wanted to play something more
sounds like something you'd hear while playing human fall flat
This is absolutely gorgeous! There isn't a chance to get this adapted for woodwind quartet is there?
this is a woodwind quartet haha
@@joeyfletcher5281 I think they meant a more traditional woodwind quartet
@@khoshekhthecat there’s actually no “traditional woodwind quartet” in the common chamber ensembles. It’s a woodwind quintet, not quartet

I pinky promise this shit cooks
Very beautiful!!!New subscriber! I compose myself and publish on my channel.🙏
Im not really familiar with copyright laws, would I have to get permission ot pay to use this in a concert?
No need to ask for permission
