These men deserve to walk free, not because their actions were flawless, but because their lives were stained with suffering long before they ever stood trial. They were once children who only knew violence and fear from the very people who should have been their protectors. Imagine growing up under constant threat, enduring the kind of cruelty that leaves no room for hope. When they acted, it wasn’t out of malice-it was a last resort born out of desperation and terror. While they have been behind bars, they’ve done everything to prove their remorse and change the trajectory of their lives. They’ve built connections, contributed to their community, and tried to become men defined by resilience rather than their painful past. They have families who want them home, people who believe in their transformation, and every day they have paid a price for their actions. They’ve spent years locked away, carrying the weight of both their past and their regret. But keeping them imprisoned now serves no justice; it only prolongs the suffering of those who have suffered enough. The time has come to show compassion, to recognize that they are no longer the people they were in that moment of fear. Justice doesn’t have to be devoid of mercy. For these men, freedom would not erase what happened, but it would offer a chance at healing-a chance they’ve earned through years of proving they are more than the broken children they once were.

The Menendez brothers’ trials stand as a disturbing example of how our society often overlooks the profound trauma inflicted upon abuse survivors. The horrific sexual, psychological, and physical abuse they endured was sidelined by the focus on the brutality of their actions, neglecting the circumstances that led them to such a breaking point. It’s undeniable that killing is not a justifiable answer, but one cannot ignore the toll that unimaginable trauma can take on a person’s mental state. In this case, their parents’ relentless abuse contributed to an irreversible spiral that ultimately led to tragedy. It’s unjust and deeply troubling that, once again, the legal system seems poised to revoke the hope and second chance that these men and their families have fought for-an all-too-familiar pattern in their lives. It’s difficult to fathom how anyone who has studied the trials and delved into the full scope of evidence could conclude that they deserve to spend the rest of their lives behind bars. I sincerely hope they are freed by the end of the year and given the chance to experience the life that was so brutally stolen from them.
So there’s no really good evidence that they were sexually assaulted and abused to the point where murder is the best choice. No rape kits or anything just one word vs another word. The only fact set in stone is they murdered 2 people and it happens to be their parents

George Gascón figuratively rode in on another George's back in 2020, and the perception of Mr. Floyd's death being "racism" was never true in full context.
Yes it was racism
Good job LA
Amazing how 70% of the comments are about the M brothers. CA is finally changing for the best. Hopefully Slick GN is next.
What do you mean?
@OlgaPerez-hf4fb I mean that out of everything the guy said about the current state of CA and future ways of action it seems people focus on the brothers. They might be innocent, they might be guilty, but for me the focus was different
Buh bye Gascon
Boy, this guy sounds like a politician. Just say what you think and what you think they want to hear😅
He has 34 years of experience as a federal prosecutor. Are you sad Gascon lost haha
Nathan Hochman please release the brothers. They have families, and did their time.
Stay in jail.
@@nellym.6555 These men deserve to walk free, not because their actions were flawless, but because their lives were stained with suffering long before they ever stood trial.
Family has no say in menendez. Should not. Family can't be on a jury.
Family are victims too AND their opinions matter a lot under the law. You dont even know the law. Now, the new DA saying they are high priority but he's not even sure IF their case lands on His desk lol. "The Menéndez deserve a prosecutor actually doing the job".
Gascon 👋👋
Time to work at Starbucks gascon
We need more of these republicans who identify as democrats
he is soo wise ,,,unlike gascon who was only dancing in office like a clown
Hopefully he’ll do the right thing. The brothers need to stay in for life!
I love Los Angeles
Gil Garcetti V3
Garcon was horrible
This makes me want to join the force as a K9🐺👮♂️🚓🚓
Do not free the Mendez brothers
They are not killers but victims research the case and the facts.
@ there aren’t any cold hard facts of major abuse or sexual abuses. It’s all he said she said. I don’t want a murder released bcs of a over dramatic Netflix doc
@@sammonteiro12usually with any SA victim it is he said she said that a normal thing. Despite that though there is proof about the molestation, there are Dr records that suggest that, and psychiatrist experts that analyzed their case and trauma, photos of genitals, now a letter from Eric 8 months before the killings that confirms that there was still SA happening and also the kid from the menudo group that got raped by the father. Nobody is filming or taking pictures at the time he is getting raped for evidence.
There were testimonies of coaches and teacher proving that they were handled in a cruel way. Their mother didn’t care about their learning issues or anything about them. Which is another indicator that these kids were mistreated. It’s really sad. Their cousin told kitty that Lyle told her that their dad was touching him down there !! Lyle was a little kid! Eric had an obsession with lemon and was doing all these weird things nobody asked why ?? the mother didn’t help her own kids!! Imagine the pain ? Go watch the trial and make conclusions of what happened knowing what you know these days, like men or boys can be raped these days and it’s not only women!
@@cRartLoveall this so called evidence and witnesses and not one person reported it or removed them from the house. They were adults and could’ve left and started their own lives. It’s up to the judge. But these were premeditated, cold blooded murders. It was a heinous crime. I even believe the letter was part of the premeditation of the murders. It was only months not years since he wrote it

Is Hochman going to prosecute Diddy ?
No. Diddy is being prosecuted in New York.
Yes!!! He makes sense
Free the Menendez brothers! I have a good feeling about this man that he will do the right thing.
No lol
Staying in jail
I like this guy … he’s definitely not in the pocket of George Soros.
Make Los Angeles Great Again
