Fixing a Hyper Tough String Trimmer with Hart Cartridges

In order to make my Hyper Tough string trimmer (Battery Powered) from Wal-Mart work better I bought the Hart cartridge two pack with .065 string and replaced it with one of the two. It lets out the string faster than the original string trimmer cartridge that came with the Hyper Tough tool. A lot less fiddling with getting enough string to come out fast enough to keep trimming rather than stopping every 10 to 20 feet.

You must have a have a defective feed line problem. My trimmer has been working great for over 3 years now with the hyper-tough replacement spools.

Mine wont feed string at all I have to manually press the black button on the outside of the head every 10 sec

No help here on how to change the spool?

You press two tabs on the side and pull the cover off. Then it slides out easily.

Cogs. They're called cogs.
