ALWAYS DRAW A LINE OF BEST FIT FOR YOUR GRAPHS!🙆♀️ (sorry I made a mistake in paper 62😓) Good luck to those having physics p6 exam tomorrow, I'll pray that all will go well for you guys💘🙏 Thank you for waiting and hope this video helps to boost your grade💯😎
Thank you sooo much, I really appreciate the effort you put into these. Your explanations are perfect and I’m feeling rlly confident about today. Keep going!! I’ll definitely share with other students doing igcses in the future ☺️❤️
Thank you so much you're so sweet☺💘 Hehe I'm so glad that these videos helped, all the best to you!!🙏 It's my pleasure and yesss pls share my channel with others thank you😄🙌
your videos are ssoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo helpful cant explain in words for your lots of dedication....my paper after 6 hours just cramming all...
Hmm first, answer all the points that they asked. Then make sure you have covered these common points: Method Variables to be kept constant Method to measure dependent variable Table Diagram (if asked) Precaution. Check that your answers are relevant to the question and your conclusion/analysis is the main point of the question (e.g. relationship between the dependent and the independent variable). Oh and of course make sure you've correctly understood the question so read it multiple times and imagine the process of the experiment first😊
Hmm idk how your teacher explained so I can't give much advice on this but it's good to keep it precise and to the point when writing answers so that it's easier for the examiner to mark your answer. As long as you have written all the important points, you'll get your mark so there's no need to write extra stuff (but you gotta know which one's are extra and which one's are essential)😊
Quick question, I did a past paper today and all my measurements were wrong even after double checking I don’t think so I did a mistake it could be the size of the paper but it was an A4 I don’t know why is makes a difference. I’m worrying about messing up my whole paper by getting a single wrong measurement
Oh yes it's a common thing no worries. I guess different websites have different size of past papers uploaded so some are smaller and some are larger. In your real exam, the measurements will be accurate so it's gonna be okay!
Thank you so much for this video! I have a tiny little question though; for question 1d), if we were to write the method about marking a centre line on the load and then placing on metre rule, will it be wrong? Or will they still consider it?
Hi!!! The October November papers have been uploaded...just wanted to know if you are going to make videos for them cause we are eagerly waiting...And of course hope you're safe and doing well...
I think you just need to draw a variable resistor in series with the circuit and add a voltmeter parallel to the lamp. The rest connected in a straight line as a shape of the box.
Hi, so basically they just mentioned to mention the readings in the y-axis & x-axis by starting it from zero but obviously we have no actual readings from 0,0 so we just start to plot the graph according to the actual readings 😊
Sometimes for the last question it doesn't mention to draw a table or a graph for the answer but when I check the ms I usually see that there is 1 mark for graph even though they didn't mention it so is it mandatory to draw graph for the last question?(7 marks qn)
Hmm really? I thought they always put in the question to draw a graph. In that case, yeah, always draw a graph even if it's not stated in the question just to be safe. But draw a graph that represents the relationship/theory related to the question (not any random graph).
Is it compulsory to guess the line in the graph for the last question as we do no know any reading. Is it ok if I just label the axis and do not draw anything?
whoa some of the questions from this paper showed up today and i'm so grateful for your video 💜 love your videos !! keep it up you're helping so many students 💕
@@TheIGCSEChannel hi can u plz do physics paper2 and chemistry paper2 before my exams?? my physics exam is on monday and my chemistry exam is on tuesday(this week) thank u so much ur videos have always helped me:)
No worries, it should follow the significant figure of the values given in the question, usually 2sf or 3sf. They won't deduct marks for using different significant figures from the question but try to keep it consistent throughout the question.
hii today i did a physics test today and i had a problem with hookes law graph like when I use gradient to calculate spring constant i get 2N/cm but when I use the table I get 0.5N/cm.. i labelled the graph how it was in the question with extension being in y axis and force being in axis.. what do u think Is the correct answer?
Hmm usually we find the spring constant using the graph so I guess it's 2N/cm if you drew your graph correctly and found the exact gradient (but I don't even know the question so I can't be sure😅). Things to take note are: - Units (cm or m) - Was it a line of best fit? (Then the gradient of the graph may be different from the table) - Correct plotting of the points - Scale of the graph - Calculation of gradient - Gradient of only the "straight part" of the graph There are many factors to consider😅 Tell me how it went when you get your paper back😀
It means that when you scale your graph, the first value of x and y axes(the bottom left corner of the graph) should be 0. So for example, the numbers go 0, 2, 4,.6 etc. instead of 4, 6, 8, 10.
In question 3 part i I measured the length with three rulers and i kept getting 3.9 for u and 8.2 for v my ans is different from yours In the mc there is no range so will they mark me wrong in the exam
Hey that's because when websites upload past papers, the size of the paper changes (decreases/increases). The ones that you have are not the real size of the exam paper so there will be some difference😅 No worries, in your exam the size of your paper will be accurate so you can measure it properly😀
Hey, for question 3 part a/i, i measured the distance u and v multiple times but i keep getting 3.9 and 8.3. can you please tell how i should measure it so i get the same answer....4 and 8.6. Thanks a lot in advance!!!!
I have a question, I was solving the specimen paper 2020 , there was a question about finding gradient through the triangle method. Kindly, can you explain it? and if in the last question they ask for graph how to draw it and where?
Triangle method is actually the same thing we do to find the gradient: (difference in y coordinates) / (difference in x coordinates). But for physics p6, you need to show this on the graph by drawing a triangle. I can't attach a picture here so you can watch from around 55 seconds how it should be shown -> ruclips.net/video/8CWcSEV19RI/видео.html So that's the triangle gradient and draw that for the points that you used to calculate your gradient. Also, be careful, the triangle that you draw needs to use more than half the line you've drawn so draw it big enough. In the last question, if there's a blank space given, you can draw it there. If there isn't any blank space given, you can just draw it on the lines (where you normally write your answer in words). For the graphs, always remember that x axis is the independent variable and the y axis is the dependent variable😊
Hmm then you should try to check: - Are the points correctly plotted? - Is the scale accurate? (Everything is evenly spaced out) - Calculation of the dependent variable - Line of best fit - Calculation of gradient You should be able to get a correct answer within the range specified in the mark scheme so try again😅
Hii are you referring the Q1(a)? 25cm indicates the position of the weight on the ruler. It's not about the range. We know that the weight is on 25cm mark because it's in the middle of 23.5cm and 26.5cm marks
Hi i have a question that if there is a graph question and it is asked to find variable on y axis eg find the a/cm when the d/cm is 0 so what should i do?
hey my exam is in afew hours do u predict anything i could revise for the experiment because im really scared ill get the idea wrong and mess things up
Hii I can't predict the queations I don't think anyone can do that😅 But you can go through the latest past papers and study the experiment questions with mark scheme. Relax you won't mess up. Everyone doesn't know what's gonna come out so it's fine😊
The lens should be in the middle, between the object and the screen. In the question, it says that "u" is the distance between the object and the lens so label that and "v" should be labelled as the distance between the lens and the screen. Then you need to vary the thickness of the lens and find how the length of u and v change accordingly. Include that you need to move the object forward and backward to obtain a clear image. You also need to state how you are gonna measure the thickness of the lens since it's curved. It's by putting one block at each side of the lens and measuring the size of the gap between those two blocks. Finally, draw a table with three column headings, u, v and t, because that's what we are measuring. Hope this helps😅

Hmm usually we find the spring constant using the graph so I guess it's 2N/cm if you drew your graph correctly and found the exact gradient (but I don't even know the question so I can't be sure😅).
Things to take note are:
- Units (cm or m)

Umm for the graph question what does it mean to start your axes from the origin (0,0)?
It means that when you scale your graph, the first value of x and y axes(the bottom left corner of the graph) should be 0. So for example, the numbers go 0, 2, 4,.6 etc. instead of 4, 6, 8, 10.

I have a question, I was solving the specimen paper 2020 , there was a question about finding gradient through the triangle method. Kindly, can you explain it? and if in the last question they ask for graph how to draw it and where?
Triangle method is actually the same thing we do to find the gradient:
(difference in y coordinates) / (difference in x coordinates).
But for physics p6, you need to show this on the graph by drawing a triangle. I can't attach a picture here so you can watch from around 55 seconds how it should be shown -> ruclips.net/video/8CWcSEV19RI/видео.html
So that's the triangle gradient and draw that for the points that you used to calculate your gradient.
@@TheIGCSEChannel thank you so much 😁 but I have tried to use this way of finding the gradient it's not giving me the answer in the mark scheme 🙁 Why?
Hmm then you should try to check:
- Are the points correctly plotted?
- Is the scale accurate? (Everything is evenly spaced out)
- Calculation of the dependent variable
- Line of best fit
- Calculation of gradient
You should be able to get a correct answer within the range specified in the mark scheme so try again😅
