Handiwoodman, I found your video ,and I'm glad I did .I just bought one and although we are of different cultures .we all understand D.I.Y. no need for words .or explanation,s.just watch and learn nice job easy ,simple ,but very effective. Billy. from Scotland.
That's the fence that I am going to create for my table saw. It is sturdy yet simple to make, with a minimum amount of steps required to be done. Thank you.
Great idea thanks! I've done this but the fence still kinda wobbly. Ive opted to buying a cheap toggle clamp from ebay, this will make the end lock to the table
Litehamer hi. For the actual fence, I used a piece of oak I had left over from a job, because it is a very stable and hard wearing wood. But you could actually use any kind though just as long as you seal it with some kind of paint/varnish to stop any moisture from getting into the wood and distorting it. After all the fence has to be as straight as posible. As for the clamping piece at the end, I used some scrap pine. I hope this helps you out. And happy wood working.

This actually sounds like a great and cheap idea, how did you attach the clamp to the table? Did you screw it in place?
