You might not have noticed, and I certainly didn't, but panic-using my super on the Leon which seemed like a waste at first glance (and was done as a knee-jerk reaction to being on the brink of death) actually saved me from dying as I dodged one of Brock's missiles because of it. Also, it's usually better to open with a basic attack before using Cordelius' Poison Mushroom gadget if your opponent doesn't know where you are as they wouldn't have attacked you anyway.
