I absolutely love and appreciate the effort put in to the narration. Was incredibly helpful as someone looking to get into this game, and super entertaining to watch.

It's more than an update. Not sure why this complaint is being made months after Rising's release. Nothing is going to change in regards to the game being a separate game from vanilla.
Scammed you? What are you still salty that the sequel is a sequel that massively changes the game and not just an update? Get the fuck over yourself, if you wanna piss around like that, you can be pissy at ArcSys for every time they did that with Guilty Gear, or BlazBlue, or Persona 4 Arena, or any other number of fighting games with sequels that look similar but are very different
