Literally the worst reaction I've seen in my life. You listened for 90% of the time without saying anything, gave 0 arguments, just raved about Lebron and tried to diminish Jordan with no facts, called yourself unbiased, and then called Jimmy's whole argument biased because he came to a different conclusion based purely on numbers. Idc about the entire debate or anyone's decision, but if you hear all these arguments in favor of Jordan and still pick Lebron, you are biased. And that is fine in itself, but don't pretend like you aren't.
It's very simple: If you care about longevity, you pick Lebron. If you only care about peak greatness, you pick Jordan. If you care about both, Lebron is still behind Jordan, but he can absolutely still catch up.

I personally have Michael Jordan as the goat, mainly because he accomplished so much and still beats LeBron in a few categories in less seasons played, but Jxmy makes a very compelling argument that the more Jordan played, the worse his resume was going to get (is my paraphrase of what he said, I hope I'm not twisting his words up.) Regardless, whether you have Jordan as the goat, LeBron as the goat, Kareem as the goat, it doesn't matter to me. I enjoy talking and debating these things with others and we've been blessed with sports for us to enjoy with one another, but even as someone who loves basketball a lot as a player and fan, these players aren't God and it's never that serious to attack each other personally and cause disorder and dissension over a game.

When I entertain the GOAT debate. I usually just ask who do you want as your team's leader in the NBA finals. I've gotten a lot of responses over the last few years, and seeing the difference in answers besides Lebron and Jordan was interesting.
Some people preferred KD over these two, and others loved Kobe Bryant. While my question isn't profound in terms of finding the true GOAT, it has shown that not everyone is sold to a notion of a single individual GOAT. People pass up a lot of great players, and I understand that, but the reason the GOAT debate still exists today is because you can't answer it, and it's an excellent revenue stream for ESPN and the NBA.

I personally believe Jordan is the undisputed GOAT of basketball because even though LeBron is sustaining his career for longer at a good rate Jordan missed many season because of retiring for baseball and stuff and he could have kept playing after 1998 and would have put up amazing numbers because we know MJ can carry a team that's exactly what he did when he was drafted to the bull is 1984 he could have had a longer better career but people don't see the seasons he missed for baseball and the seasons he had left after the 1998 championship because in 1998 he was the Allstar MVP he was the great amount greats his last season so there was n doubt he could have carried on with his career playing at a MVP level and carrying a team on his back. I also believe as the GOAT of basketball in the 1980's he was the reason why basketball was so huge he even started his own brand his rookie season. Jordan also averaged 28 points, 6.5 rebounds, 6 assists, 2.5 steals, and a block all in his rookie season

NBA Defensive Player of the Year (1988)
    9× NBA All-Defensive First Team (1988-1993, 1996-1998)
NBA Rookie of the Year (1985)
    NBA All-Rookie First Team (1985)
    10× NBA scoring champion (1987-1993, 1996-1998)
Michael Jordan won (MVP) (FMVP) (NBA CHAMPIONSHIP) (SCORING TITLE) (ALL-NBA 1st TEAM) (ALL-DEFENSIVE FIRST TEAM) (ALL STAR) all in the same season while not missing a single game.
Everything Lebron has over Jordan is longevity.
For Lebron to be the goat and take MJ’s place. He must Break Kareem all-time points record - win 2 more championships, 2 more finals MVP’s, 1 more mvp, 9 more scoring titles, 4 more All-Defensive First Teams.
Until he does that he is not the greatest of all time. In my opinion he can’t be greater than MJ while having less accolades than him. They hold a lot of weight for someones career. Rings matter ALOT when you were the best player on the team.

Technically theoretically he can If he dosnt retire within a couple a years and wins two chips then technically he can by the rules this why I think longevity wins goat debates cause yeah you can go win all the chips and stat pat all you want but longevity keeping healthy wins every time dosnt matter the sport or hobby you do if you dont take care of your body eventually somone will be better than you and thats not a knock on Jordan thats is just medical facts being healthy wins debates like this and makes it a well what fits your fancytype of argument . wanna play for longer and be at the top of your game or want to be great quick and hold it for good amount of time but not take care of your body.

My personal goat is MJ. And before this video i really thought that Lebron can't pass MJ. But his argument was so brilliant and persuasive that i now think he might pass MJ. I still think If MJ didn't have that break in the prime the goat conversation wouldn't be here rn but the incredible longevity that lebron has may overweigh the MJ's accomplishments. Great video.

MJ would had lost to the Rockets in 94 and 95, especially because they lost Horace Grant who were very important to them defensively and in the rebound aspect, so it was really a smart move for MJ to retire otherwise that would have factored in him not having as great of a career.

@@unowndodo8471 I think when they lost horace they could've make a move to maybe replace him. Probably the most sane option is that rockets would win but MJ just won so much that I can't think of a world that he would lose in a final. If bulls would make 0 move to replace him yeah they would've lost but If they had someone as good as him I think they still would have a chance.

lmaao that team was only bad for 2 years until Scottie was drafted then they got better and they still couldn't beat the Pistons or Celtics. In 1990 when the Pistons beat the Bulls in the playoffs the Bulls had 60 wins that year and had Scottie, Horace Grant, Paxson, and Armstrong who were all great role players. Bj was an all star on the Bulls in 1993 and Paxson who was a great sharpshooter and hit one of the most memorable shots in history for the Bulls.
