Oppulent Hertz the thing is this song is a remix of the boss themes, so besides the Hue Hue I don’t really see any resemblance to Stardust Speedway, even if the trumpet is the same trumpet sample
I never get tired of Stardust Speedway's vocal line. Also anyone catch the present Metallic Madness lyrics sung by the bad future Wacky Workbench robot voice
This would make a great theme for Eggmanland in a less action-oriented stage, like in a Sonic RPG or as an adventure hub or something. It just has this cool vibe that really highlights Eggman's splendor and majesty. I could totally see golden Eggman statues, bright neon lights, Badniks on every street corner, etc. with this song in the background.
Listening to this makes me appreciate some of the tracks in Mania, I love a lot of the modern tracks even the edgey alternative rock ones, but maybe my nostalgia kicker is a bit too high because I really feel the old tracks from like CD and Sonic R in a more heartfelt manner. These remixes are great! I hope if the Mania team make more games we might get a few more styled this way and like older songs.
