Yes, it is important to question things we consider normal to make *new* discoveries but there is no reason why the spherical nature of our planet is any more questionable than literally anything else, in fact, just about everyone would argue that it is one of the few things we can be absolutely certain about. If they feel the need to question that, then they might as well question anything, including the very measurements they're trying to use to prove Earth's roundness wrong. It doesn't help either that a lot of (most?) of the people who believe the Earth is flat hasn't built that theory from a scientific observation, but rather because of paranoia about the things they've been taught due to them being easily influenced and obsessively involved in conspiracy theories. 6:48 the Civil War was fought over mostly secession (due to many differences between the north and south, including on the issue of slavery). Funnily enough, slaves fought on the side of the south, many did it of their own free will. The major reason the north wanted the south to be defeated was that the south was trying to secede from the union and the north would not allow that. The main reason for stopping the Confederacy was to put an end once and for all to all future secession attempts by showing that they were not going to allow it even if they had to kill everyone who wanted to secede. Slavery got caught up in it and was a side-effect.

6:40 Well I looked it up and the other two reasons might be: 1) Taxes (North wanted to impose higher protective taxes, South wanted free trade) 2) Constitutional status of states (South believed that a state is a country on its own, North wanted to submit every state to centralised governmental rule, which, obviuosly, would come from Washington; southerners didn't like that). And yeah, 3) Slavery and its status in future states of USA. I'm not an American so I don't really give a damn, just wanted to make sure.
