A lot of people for some reason can’t comprehend at Steven wants to be know for his other work too he definitely loves being known for Trevor it wants recognition for his other jobs too
@@MrMan-h5x like what? A henchman in BCS? One of the poor people in Snowpiercer? He should accept the fact that the "cartoon" he portrayed is his biggest hit, ever.
steven rejecting the cartoon shit literally reinforces the idea of him as trevor, like lmao. why would anyone be mad at him, that would be exactly what trevor did if he was living in the present world
The whole thing with Steven is that he doesn’t want to be seen as just Trevor. He’s fine if you say he’s Trevor but he doesn’t like that he is only seen as that guy. I meet him recently at an event and he is a very nice guy and I didn’t say hey it’s Trevor I called him Steven cause he has been in more thing then just GTA. I like him in better call Saul he has a short moment but it’s great. To make a long thing short he doesn’t want to be seen as just Trevor.
Steven Ogg does not hate GTA, he just wants to be appreciated and known for some of his other roles. Everyone is always like ”Trevor, Trevor, Trevor”. It makes some actors overwhelmed at some point because it has been known to make them feel unappreciated and that people are uninterested in them as a person. We can never know how actors are on their private life unless we know ’em in real life, but Steven seems like a really nice and honest person and does not deserve to have his feeling ignored.
A little advice for him, next time he acts like trevor, don't tell them youre steven and not trevor, just say you're trevor and go with it because it looks like hes back pedaling
The whole cameo thing, if that was supposed to be in character as trevor, it really wasn't smart to say "I'm steven, an actor, trevor's a cartoon and I'm a real person" like he was mixing character and reality and just making people think that he's a dick that hates the character and fanbase. If you're gonna do something in character, then do it like everyone else. I'm not trying to sound all offended or anything like that, just that the way he did those cameos wasn't exactly smart
A couple months back Steven and Ned were in a advertisement for a gaming laptop that parodies Michael and Trevor I don't think he truly hates the character just it is the first main character role that he had instead of just side characters or just background characters also explain the one live action video 8 years ago were he played Trevor and wasn't just parodying him for a commercial I still remember seeing him on The Walking Dead and Better Call Saul he knows how to play a good deranged lunatic that can easily make you laugh as well as make you scared
Personally I side with Steven on most of his opinions on this stuff. I feel like people treat celebs like they owe us something and they don't. They played a character and provided us a product and we consume said product. That's the begining and end of their obligations. They don't need to be nice to you or give you everything you want from them in appreciation. Yes it would be nice if they did that and I'm not arguing that they shouldn't respect the fans and be a good sport. They definitely should but they don't have to and that doesn't make them a bad person. They probably just get annoyed at getting asked the same questions a hundred times a day.
He’s gotten tired of fans constantly going up to him and calling him Trevor and asking him to be mean to them. He’s sick of people treating him like he’s Trevor Phillips in real life because he’s not, he’s Steven Ogg.

No matter if he hated the character or not I'm just glad because of that role he was able to have a good career out of it. I can see where people are coming from with some of those videos of him talking about his role as Trevor but if he's willing to keep coming to these meet ups with the other voice actors as recently as this year then he definitely doesn't despise his role, can definitely be annoyed by people only calling him his character and not his actual name but don't think it's as bad as people are saying, just general annoyance that probably only lasts for a second.

I do think it was a bit shitty to half ass a video someone paid over $100 for, like, if you ordered anything, its kinda crappy to not deliver, or deliver it half arsed, especially something as simple as a video message, he can rant about not being a cartoon in his own time. Outside of that, I don't care if he loves or hates Trevor, I kinda hated the character too tbh, the story felt much better when it was just Michael and Franklin.
Didn't the season of the walking dead where he first appeared came out after the release of GTA V? I pretty much stopped watching when Rick was lifted off in the heli.
Yo that's like saying Joel and Ellie are cartoon characters just based on the fact that they're characters from a video game, characters that are designed and portrayed realistically and meant to be human in nature just like any live-action work that's meant to be grounded
A part on why he probably doesn’t really care for the role is because the game generated so much revenue and the actors are paid so little in comparison
You just don't understand how frustrating it is that someone in Cameo is nagging you to play as the person you don't want. Hugo keeps on nagging Steven that's why he hates that role now.
I doubt you understand as well. the prime reason for Cameo is to do what the person PAYING $130 asks for. If it’s not to his liking then why bother accepting the money to just give a video belittling the fan and telling him off. Hugo had every right to explain how he felt afterwards so I wouldn’t call that “nagging” and if you bothered watching the video, Steven doesn’t “hate” that role at all. I can understand Steven’s point of view but his response just comes across as whining. Comments like yours are extremely frustrating as you only side with him to be “different”.
Steven Ogg is a joke, forget him! Calling a video game a cartoon is stupid and disrespectful and he's such a hypocrite. His attitude shows he's not proud of the role. He was a nobody until GTA 5, it made him famous and people loved his role, myself included. He was supposed to be at SciFi Valley Con on July 2024 in Altoona but cancelled and rescheduled in November, then did it again then, and I can guarantee you he will do it again! I've met the other main characters from GTA 5 and RDR 2 and they love fans and their roles, and they're amazing human beings, unlike Steven Ogg. I hate that man now because of his attitude and actions. Also, he was paid a handsome sum for a very short video only to rant and be disrespectful and not do what he was asked, which is so wrong and that person who paid him for it deserves a refund. And those who agree with him are just as bad as him.
@sbj97 because I'm a gamer and I like those who are in them. Everyone else is decent human beings and appreciative of the game and fans that made them famous and they realize they'd be nobodies without that, they're humble. Which I admire and I hate Ogg's attitude like the vast majority of people like me! And I never said it affected my life either, get it straight not twisted! And I don't know or care about you either. If you don't like what I have to say, move on! I can tell you're not a fan and gamer and have no idea what you're talking about so why are you even bothering reading the comments and watching this video?
