Django Tutorial #5 - Adding Database Records

i have an issue, if i use shell to execute the database in the 5:57, the terminal is not looks like that. and if i try using ipython then its shows an error says that :
ImproperlyConfigured: Requested setting INSTALLED_APPS, but settings are not configured. You must either define the environment variable DJANGO_SETTINGS_MODULE or call settings.configure() before accessing settings.
can you tell me how to fixt that? thanks

ipython command was not working for me. then I 'pip install ipython' and get it.
(I am from node/js ecosystem, I did it just like npm install desired-package-name)
