- Ticketmaster crashes as millions of Taylor Swift fans try to buy tickets to her world tour. A mother and daughter found themselves next in line in the virtual queue until they were suddenly behind 2,000 other people. Adding to the chaos, some tickets were reselling for $45,000. Ticketmaster issued this statement: “there has been historically unprecedented demand with millions showing up” to buy tickets for Swift’s tour, which caused “intermittent issues.”
Ticketmaster knew EXACTLY what they were doing. They gave out 1 million codes......they KNEW this would happen. And they KNEW this would increase demand and prices.

Taylor Swift needs to do what Garth Brooks did at the end of his touring at his peak (10+ years ago) he'd tell scalper to buy his tickets that he sold for like $75 bucks, all tickets all seats same price...and he said the minute a stadium sold out he would open another date in the same location. He ended up staying in many cities for 2 week doing 10+ concerts. He got to stay put and see the city and enjoy himself. The fans got to see his show for a fare price and scalpers got stuck holding a ton of tickets. Perfection.
AC/DC required the credit card used to purchase the tickets to be presented at the arena gate, that worked GREAT, people were able to actually get tickets, at face value. Scalper sites actually tried to sue over that. LOL
The bigger crime here is the cost of the tickets to attend. These people need to have their heads examined paying such ludicrous amounts.
I have singers/groups I like too but I don’t think I’d ever cry and act like my life is over 😅

Is this going to be her biggest tour? I've just started getting interested in her music and I knew she was pretty popular but not to this degree! Wow!
Her last tour (2018) was attended by nearly 3 million fans and grossed over $345 million. The tour was literally in just 7 countries (USA, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand and Japan). Bear in mind this was after the 2016 drama with Kimye, when most people cancelled her online and said she was "over".

People called it unfair because this was a presale for ‘verified fans’. It was supposed to give fans who had tickets to her cancelled shows and bought merch/supported her a lot the chance to buy tickets before general sale.

If they get this upset over something so trivial, I'd hate to see what happens when life comes up and kicks them in the back of the head with a real tragedy. This is crazy - my sister and her friends went to the concert last night in Philadelphia bc her friend’s mom bought the tickets way in advance however there were a bunch of people camped outside of the stadium and watching the concert from there - so where there’s a will there’s a way !
